Commendable verdict....
by Rangasamy Vijay on Aug 08, 2007 03:31 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Let the quota and OBC/ABC etc. reservation must die a natural death. But at the same time we should not forget the centuries old injustice meted out to a section of our communinity in the name of caste system. It is high time all religious heads particularly in hindu community join hands and start a campign to eradicate this ugly caste system earnestly. All restrictions in the temples or any place of workship should be srapped immediately without any more review. All humans are same in front of God- in whatever name and form that we believe in..
I call upon all religious leaders to come forward boldly on this issue now or never if they still remain tied to their rituals only- they will be doing a big disservice to hindu community if they fail to act and give way to vote bank politics of petty , old, rotten, stinking politicians - a curse on indian political system.....Only merit and economic conditions must rule in teh education system for selection and aid..
Jai Hind.

idiot, what color TVs will do for poor. Poors need a square meal NOT TV. Let him improve infrastructure, create more industries and job opportunities. Not TVs. That is blunder of the century

I am happy that this decision has come from a Scheduled caste Sup Court Judge which shows that demand made by various student bodies is very much justified! It is time for Congress to pack their bags! Good bye!

Please do not attribute caste feelins here on a person of learning and holding the highest legal office purely on his merit.

Pat Thakur, you need help. Get yourself admitted before you become a public hazard.

Even a street side bum would come up with a better one than that!

reservation only for those who need it
by rohit agarwal on Aug 08, 2007 02:22 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

I think the reservations should be extended to only those who are needy instead of caste, religion etc. In India we have a tendency to vote for my acste politician rather than who can offer a better value proposition to the public. Therefore offering reservation to a caste become all the more important...

Due to poor education, people are unaware of development politics. A group of people based on their caste are opressed. So, to uplift the downtrodden people reservation is needed.
