60 Years of independence
by Sivaraman Srinivasan on Aug 06, 2007 02:52 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

It is really shocking that both the state government and Central Government grossly ignoring the plight of common people. It is more than a week since BBC showed pictures of flood marooned villages/villagers. They have grossly delayed calling the Army for help and the help is inadequate.

Are we really heading towards to become a Super Power. It is not powerful are we. It is important to prove how caring are we towards our own people (atleast when they are in distress)

As per our former President, Dr. APJ. Abdul Kalam, India should achieve Super Power status in 2020.

But due to the cheating by the corrupt politicians, there is no chance for India to become Super Power even after 2220.

Shame on you Ashok,
get out of regional mentality and think of millions who are suffering. We all are responsible if any part of our country is in disorder.

Nitish Natak Company
by dharma prabahar rajamuniswamy on Aug 06, 2007 02:52 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Nitish's total inaction reflected in tackling flood situation. He is pleasure liking person. Biharis wont get any kind of support from him. He enjoys the day in maurutius and dodging PM to help. What can we expect from a person who has worked under vajpaee and advani

Ddear Dharma,Please dont pass comments on preassumptions! If you dont like BJP or Vajpayee that doesnot mean that Nitish is doing nothing.Laloo had been ruling the state for 15 years and you can see vast difference in governance once Nitish kumar came in.I have toured Bihar both during Laloo's time and this year. There has been huge difference in few areas.
1.State sponsored kidnapping(In which Laloo's relatives were involved) came to sudden halt.
2.All villege level hospitals and dispencaries started operation once again with 24hr light and doctors available(You wont beleive that during Laloo raj not even one doctor attended their appointed hospital in villeges rather they preferred making money in cities)
3.Roads are being constructed throughout the state(You can see the difference in those areas where new roads are being constructed against virtually no road from Laloo era)
4.All villege level schools restarted with appointed teachers instructed to join their duties(most of the appointed teachers during Laloo era were doing private biz in their hometown while taking their monthly salary in Patana directly)
And Nitish Kumar was not on fun trip to Mauritius,he was there to attract biz as most of the people there from Bihari origin.Wake up and appreciate the positive changes.

You will never find human rights fighting or taking up this cause. For this they do not get publicity, like they way they do, when they take up cases like Sanjay Dutt or Zakira.
The only way, all this would change, is when educated people will start franchising their votes, which will make our goverment more accountable. As this is not being done, politicians know that their vote banks can be managed with religion / caste based politics.

Nobody cared about the people in Bihar who are all suffering due to the flood. It is a human rights violation.

Laloo! where are u? Now you can land in a National Highway with your IAF helicopter to see the plight of your suffering people!

What a stunt?

flood help to Bihar Goverment.
by Rajagopal Nair on Aug 06, 2007 02:36 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Pleasem do not givr any help in the form of cash to Bihar Goverment as this will end up in
the politicians hand. Thet will not give anything to the actual sufferers. Try to distribute through private firms like reliance /Tata etc so that
this will reach the right persons.Politicians will eat up the money which is earmarked for their own relatives funerals expenses you see.
Especially Bihar is so corrupt.

Bihar flooding
by parag paranjpe on Aug 06, 2007 02:30 PM  Permalink

Its high time we pay utmost attention to one of the worst crisis facing humanity; the global warming. we are witnessing severe heat, unrelented rains and harsher winter year after year. it has been proved beyond doubt that any govt is pathetic in handling this type of catatrophe. the disaster management cell is a big disaster itself. lets not rely on them. we have to plan now so that our children and grand children do not suffer in future. there is no immediate sollution. plan now act now and lets pass on a much better world to our future. plant tree, don't cut them. its that simple.

Good Joke...
by Nilesh Parekh on Aug 06, 2007 02:24 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Bihar will be doomed if it asks for help from PM ... because our Mr. Puppet Singh will have to take permission from Sonia if he can help Bihar or not!

Ask for help from Army instead ... thats one better choice ... our Puppet Singh is good for nothing ... he can only weep and cry after looking tears in a POOR, INNOCENT TERRORIST'S MOTHER'S EYES ... he can only help those who belongs to a particular religion!

Jai Hind!

True. I donot think Nitish can get the proper support from the centre, because there are the elements of politics are involved. Also, the pm does not know the ppl properly. He was not elected in direct elections. He is most of the times through Rajya sabha.

God save India from these dirty politicians.
