Unceremonius

Sad to know that the family of the dead person has not stood up to do the last rites. I feel that god always live with in you and with in your family. He graces you through your own family. All the times your loved ones and family is there to be always with you in Sad and happy times and also at the end of the road.
Sad that the last rites for this person will be performed in formalities, no drops of tears no blessing or prayers from the loved ones. Pray no one goes this way. Even if some one has died for a cause he should stand proud for it and so should be his family people, and entire community and country. Here the family is not in a position to accept him, and certainly not proud of what the guy has done. Just want to appeal to all young brothers, please think constructive and earn wealth , prosperity and pride for your families and dont get directed wrongly.

In the Indian state of Goa, mass conversions were carried out by Portuguese missionaries from the 16th century onwards. The Hindu converts retained their caste practices. The continued maintenance of the caste system among the Christians in Goa is attributed to the nature of mass conversions of entire villages, as a result of which existing social stratification was not affected. The Portuguese colonists , despite their violent anti-Hindu iconoclasm, did not do anything to change the caste system. Thus, the original Hindu Brahmins in Goa now became Christian "Bamonn's", and the Kshatriya became Christian noblemen called "Chatim" or "Chardos".The Christian clergy became almost exclusively Bamonn .Vaishya's who converted to Christianity became "Gauddo's", and Shudras became "Sudir's". Finally, the Dalits or "Untouchables" who converted to Christianity became "Maharas" and "Chambars" (an apellation of the anti-Dalit ethnic slur "Chamaar"). Several ethnic groups who did not convert to Christianity and remained Hindus (such as Marathas) were incorporated into the Christian caste of "Chaddho"[3].

Respect to Khafeel bhai is serving the cause of secularism
by Vishvaksenah E on Aug 05, 2007 09:49 PM  Permalink

Khafeel bhai's mortal remains should be brought to India.
He should be given a fitting memorial.
A 21 gun salute should be given to the cortege when it arrives. He was a totally innocent person.
The racist English police are unnecessarily accusing him.
To save secularism, he should be posthumously honoured with Bharat Ratna.
Ofcourse this can not bring back the noble soul back alive....but atleast such small tokens of appreciation will go a long way in saving secularism.
His parents should be honoured for giving him proper values.
I'm sure the father of Indian secularism- Bapuji who is also the father of present day India would have liked Khafeel bhais's remains to be buried along with his mortal reamins.Hence Rajghat should be the final resting place for Khafeel bhai.

Long live Gandhigiri.
