A highly derogatory clause for india was not mentioned in the above article. India is agreeing to IAEA safeguards in perpetuity, i.e. no matter who terminates the agreement for whatever reason, india cannot use the nuclear fuel/material for its own purpose. This clause is binding and there is no escape from it forever. In a nutshell the US can scrap this deal at will and India is left holding a bunch of reactors without fuel. These reactors cannot be used for any other purpose forever. Only nutcase govt. employees can agree to such a deal
I have written extensively in discussions about this deal, and my reservations remain. I cannot endorse this deal, and the BJP will have to consider how they go about undoing it. They would be right to intimate their serious reservations to the American's now and there intention to repeal the provisions of the deal.

Although BJP is making some noise to keep party workers engaged, Mr. Vajpayee and Mr. Advani know that this is a great deal for India. Like Dr. Singh, both of them are great patriots and have the best interest of India in their mind. Let the communists make noise. Leftists especially CPI-M are the bigget traitors of India. They are nothing more than spies for China. Look at the way they reacted during nuclear tests by India and also next month when Nimitz will come to India again What has left to do with Nimitz? Shouldnt they be concentrating on nandigram?

Is there any doubt in that? When have they stood for India..they are in India working for China/Iran/Pakistan,etc...they act and behave as if India should not care about USA while USA is the largest trade partner and the most preferred nation Indians go to either for study, research or job...do they have iota of concern for the future of these aspiring young minds?
