Should US choose to bomb Pakistan, it is going to be lot of trouble for India. Terrorists in Pakistan will be forced to flee to India, which is a safe heaven for them. And the Indian Government (Be it a Congress or a BJP Government) can never act against them. Can anyone imagine an Indian Government doing what Musharraf did in Lal Majid? If Pakistan is bombed, bombing in India cannot be too distant.

Agree, but those who ordered the war were people like Indira Gandhi (kind of tough women) and a able leader like A.B.Vajpayee. But with Sonia and Manmohan at the helm anytime, I doubt whether we shall acheive the same

Mr Parag before critising others you must know one fact. Operation Blue Star was undertaken because it is pertaining to Sikhs. Such courage cannot be exhibited by our spineless politicians with regards to Islamic terrorists. See for example what has happened to the execution of Afzal who attacked our parliament. Likewise you are quoting Kargil war. Do you know what is Kargil war about. To reoccupy our own hills we lost 850 precious soilders lives. It was completely without planning and devoid of air attacks. It shows our height of our foolishness. Look at Israel there is lot to be learned from them.

We had only one "HE" Prime minister in Mrs India Gandhi who dared to order Operation Blue Star. She gave her life for that operation. Her son Rajiv Gandhi was killed because he ordered action against another terror outfit LTTE. No other PMs who took charge of India dared to act against terrorism. Mushraff took action because he was a soldier. We need someone from Armed Forces (not Jaswant Singh please) to become PM and distroy this teroorism and underworld activities. Priyanka (Gandhi) may be future hope of India if she participate in active politics. She has mard qualities than her brother who appears timid.

We are safe , today, inIndia not because of Our Government. It is because of the pressuure that USA has been building up in Pakis. and that too after 9/11. Let us hope that to continue otherwise the leader of this country particularily Congressmen are puppet of these Dawood & company.
This is what Mr Bush should have done rather attacking Iraq. Pakistan is big terrorist country and Laden is in Pakistan and all of the Al Qaida leaders are getting shelter in Pakistan. India & US should sit together and invade Pakistan. We want strong Leadership in India so that we can make full plan to beat terrorism by Pakistan.

but whats the funniest part in the story u know.. america, the great savior of mankind (hahahah) has come to know that terrorist camps are in Pakistan now only, but from last 10 years when India was repeatedly telling it, america didnt see or know it, coz then the jihadis were not shoving up the bombs in america's ass.. but now they know how it feels when these jihadis put the bomb right in the ass..

Yes u r right! taliban has killed 3000 Americans while MAnerica hs killed only 3 Million mulslims in Iraq, Afghanistan, lebanon etc. You people have so much hatred for muslims that you are ready to lick the A** of GORAs.
I don't know whether rediff gives us the complete picture in the article, but judging by what is there to read, it looks like Obama has very little knowledge of ground realities. Musharraf is his (and probably India's) best bet in his fight against terrorism. God help India if Pakistan were to fall into the hands of fundamentalists (muslim or otherwise). Afghanistan used to be a lovely place before it fell to Muslim fundamentalists. Now Pakistan is facing the heat of Afghanistan's problems. If the US were to get more involved in Pakistan, then we can definitely expect a lot of future hassles in India, like it or not. It might be a lopsided way of looking at things, but the present Pakistan administration is a perfect buffer for India, as far as fundamentalists are concerned, as it is still more or less secular (inspite of being a dictatorship). Just my 2 cents worth...

well.. i really dont think Obama intents to overthrow Musharraf.. he never said he will attack pakistan..he said he will attack terrorists camps in pakistan. There is a huge diffrence between the two.

Very funny, it's US who include OSAMA in 10 most effective ppl. in TIMES. And now, they r planning to eradicate the terrirosm in Pak, Ah. The ppl. like OSAMA shud not be given so much of publicity n respect.
Osama will be caught in Pakistan if US takes action and the so called war on terror will end and the other innocent people of the muslim world can breathe free .
After Osama is nabbed the wind will be taken out of the American sails and neocons will lose support for their Islamophobic agenda . And that is the reason why they dont go in to Pakistan. They will surely find Osama there and they will have no cause to use to invade other countries
