India sucks???? shit !!! why dint u tell me earlier?? shit man !!...am gonna file a PIL against you....juss watchya !!
My comments are without even wasting time to read this news item. But TV News today, says that Sonia Gandhi expressed her fears that BJP, BSP etc., are all power hungry and hence may join hands. Does She feel that its a crime? If it is, what did Congress do in 2004 Elections in AP? They were scared about TDP victory and joined hands with TRS, to defeat TDP. What did they do in Karnataka to bring Dharam Singh in Karnataka? Congress wants to apply different principles in different States for same situations. How do they justify?
What is special in this write up about UP elections? This could very well be a travelouge of a lay man...we ate, we slept and we argued..end of the story...is this journalism? Are the days gone when homework was essential part of junkets??? When u have spend such money and time to go to such a far off place to cover the most crucial election in the country...you turn up with this trash?? I guess this Nadar fella should quit journalism and stary an eately in Moradabad..may be he is in wrong job...he certainly is the wrong person to be in the job for a reporter at rediff....misusing bandwidth !
What kind of coverage was this? It was like a group sent without any desire to explore the heat & dust of such a crucial election. rediff will be better of by engaging journalists with guts to travel far of places & come back with some analysis for the readers.

Dear Mr Agarwal, perhaps you forgot to read the heading on the article, which says ... from the sidelines... Such articles are soft pieces meant to take you, the reader, on the journey along with the reporter. A news report/analysis is a different category.
Did you know that there is a system in our constitution, as per the 1969 act, in section "49-O" that a person can go to the polling booth, confirm his identity, get his finger marked and convey the presiding election officer that he doesn't want to vote anyone!
Yes such a feature is available, but obviously these seemingly notorious leaders have never disclosed it. This is called "49-O".
Why should you go and say "I VOTE NOBODY"... because, in a ward, if a candidate wins, say by 123 votes, and that particular ward has received "49-O" votes more than 123, then that polling will be cancelled and will have to be re-polled. Not only that, but the candidature of the contestants will be removed and they cannot contest the re-polling, since people had already expressed their decision on them. This would bring fear into parties and hence look for genuine candidates for their parties for election. This would change the way, of our whole political system... it is seemingly surprising why the election commission has not revealed such a feature to the public....
Please spread this news to as many as you know... Seems to be a wonderful weapon against corrupt parties in India... show your power, expressing your desire not to vote for anybody, is even more powerful than voting... so don't miss your chance. So either vote, or vote not to vote (vote 49-O) and pass this info on...
"Please forward this message to as many as possible, so that we, the people of India , can really use this power to save our nation". Use your voting right for a better INDIA.

Please refrain from posting things you don't know. The provision of 49-O is to allow a voter not to vote after he has signed the paper given by the authorities. It has no further consequence, other than giving the Presiding Officer some headache in tallying the number of voters who have signed and the number of votes in the ballot box/EVM.
Hindus in India wants a RAM Temple at AYodhya, for that please vote for BJP and also to stop Islamic terrosrism,chritian-Sonia conversion and also for the good of common masses vote for BJP

Christianity and islam has extremism inherent in it.They dont respect any other religion. This is the basic theory of fanaticism that mine is the only way.It creates tension .So vote for some party which advocates equality in principle.Kudos to Priyanka for ur humoursense
All trends and surveys show that BJP is set to wsweep UP elections...its just little far from Majority....lets vote for it and get a goverment for betterment of people and state.
Though killngs are deplorable....BUT he had many criminal cases pending against him. He was not like any other common citizen...Media please give complete history of the man killed instead of victimising honest and up-right police officers.
You give boost to corrupt officers who dont act when they are bribed...they just keep quiet and let anti-national activities happen in their zones / areas.
Please give complete picture instead of generating sympathy against criminals and terrorists and terrotising and victimising who work for safety of society.
Please think and respond. Dont get emotionally carried away !!

sir what have they done.RETALIATION is not a sin.stop attacks then counter attacks will be automatically stoped.
I think that various institutions in our country are improving, and though there is a lot to be done, we must also salute the guys on the effort they are putting up.
After all, in a democracy, we get the government we deserve and it is we who have to demand and fight for it. No point in blaming others.
So, when the EC is doing a good job, or for that matter any other democratic institution is doing a good job, it is out duty to salute the guys rather than just run them down as many of us do.
Congrats EC........keep it up. And be tough on the political crooks that we are out to jettison.
Goa is next, and though the state is very advanced compared to other states in India, corruption is rampant. The EC should crack down on the corrupt elements and show the world that they are in control./
God bless us all.....and let us all pray for our mother India.
Thanks to the Election Commission for ensuring the free and fair election in Uttar pradesh first time in recent period.Whatever may be the result, but the actual voters this time could cast their votes by altogether exposing that it was always more than 1/3 votes as bogus.Anyway the democractic norms could be upheld in the UP election.
