Dr Kalam is real INdian rather than so called secularist the way congress/karat wants.THese two parties have splitted iNdia and even supporting terrorism till today.ITs shame on them.Dr Kalam is tru Indian and can be the prez for second time without any drawback.
Dr.Kalam is a great scientist and as human being. But I dont understand what he has done to nation as a president.
1) Why he is keeping quiet for the execution of Terrorist Afzal?
2) He amended an immediate law that all the cricket matches should be telecast in DD. Cricket is not imp for farmers in India. They need water to cultivate. WHY CAN'T DR.KALAM CAN PUT A LAW TO NATIONALISE ALL THE RIVERS IN INDIA.
T.N.Seshan is the best person for Post of President.

Presidents have limited powers in India. Dont you know that? But still, Dr Kalam did what he can do.. He has encouraged the students to think and dream.. Thats a good start..

like what? lecturing the kids about how they should keep dreaming about a fantasy world like our generation did? nameone good thing that he did which other presidents didn't like you claim.
The Congress wanted to play the secular card by making Dr. Kalam as the President. Over time the Congress realised Mr. Kalam was a true Indian and not as secularist (Dr. Kalam thinks above religion) as they would want him to be. Now all the 'secular' parties like the CPIM and Congress want him off (he's too constitutional, they say, and he won't let these parties do as they please by hijacking the system). But the Congress does not have a choice. Taking Dr. Kalam off the post has tremedous political repurcussion for Congress, where as the Communists do not have adverse repurcussions by voting against Dr. Kalam. Long live India. Long live Dr. Kalam!

I totally agree with you. Dr.Kalam is too consitutional for Congress and CPI and they want him off. They need a rubber stamp so that they would get away with their grave deeds without embarassment. Or, they need polititical mileage out of making a muslim as a President and Kalam is too secular and apolitical to grant them that. Still, its tough for congress, since they know Muslims would be watching. No wonder, if they bring up some dummy guy from Muslim community so that they can get away from the criticism and get their rubber stamp as well!

Hopefully the media should try to create a virtual poll among the Presidential contestants among the candidates and let the people vote for them online. Then we will see who is mostfavored by the people..

We the bloody idiot people of India does not have any say for anything important to this country. We can only cast our vote to the party not for the person we r casting for nor for the person to become our PM. This right of deciding the fate of any important matter (be it reservation or selection of prez) goes only to select few. Ur online vote does not hav any value. They (Karat/congress/BJP) will do what ever they want to.
it is only after Dr. kalam became president we came to know how powerful and impactful that job is. Otherwise president post as we were used to see that president is only there to have dinner with foreign guests and devoting flowers to the dead legends !!! He have changed the meaning of Indian president. A true son of the country.
Every Indian wud love to see Dr. kalam for at least another 5 years. India needs him the most and nobody knows this better than Dr. kalam himself.
I salute him, and with me salutes him every responsible Indian.
Besides all points made, the president and prime ministerof a country being learned and individual personalities with proven and accepted intellect helps the country' image among other nations. It is a matter of pride for indians to see President Kalam and Prime Miniter Manmohan singh speak up with worl leaders relevantly which the world is keen to listen as well. A politician president has only his politican agenda to speak out and do at all times. All sucessful and forward looking nations strive to elect the talented as head of state ( USA/UK maybe anexception!). They make a lot of difference. Key offices needs to have absolute talent as criteria not by rotation as our political parties would want to.
President Kalam besides being learned is a balanced head who can think equally for all sections of indian society not leaning overly either to intellectual class or only to the poor vote bank. Thus he make a better choice.
A slefless person in Dr Rajendra prasad or Dr radhakrishnan made them to be rembered long after they are gone. So will be Dr Kalam.
I for one would not want to see a political president like Dr Sharam who takes the presidential previledge of flying to tirupati to tonsure every time a blade of hair grows back or Giani Zail singh who would read from a piece of paper " I declare the asian games open" in front of delagtes of so many countries barely being able tostand up on his feet.
Dr kalam was accepted by political parties as preseident not willingly but more becuase each party did not want the others political candidate accepted for the post. A good thing done unknowingly by politicians helping to enhance the position of president of india. Let this be upheld forever by having unbiased, balanced and learned people like Dr Kalam to continue in his second term as well.
