What a tragedy! A Czech built aircraft of 1970s has been causing panic for the last couple of months in Colombo.The Sri Lankan air defence system is totally out of power.They cannot even resist a vintage type air attack!Last time they blamed the Indian radar system. What now? Every time they are caught napping and finding reasons for excuse.It's better for them to surrender for the sake of their innocent citizens.

Salil, these are gliders not fighter craft. you dont need radar. if your amred forces are half decent they can be shot down easily. Dont blame the Radars.

I Think Indian Government should act and help Sri Lanka in destroying LTTE's aircrafts using its Air Power. If not for Sri Lanks its should help to destroy LTTE for its own safety as LTTE might use the same against India or mebbe supply to other militants operating in India. It should be nipped in the bud

Last time when India entered Sri Lanka at the invitation of Jayawardene, Sri Lankans joined hands with the LTTE in attacking IPKF which was forced to fight blindfold but still managed to break the back of the LTTE. Sri Lankan army is unable to take on even this emasculated LTTE and that is proof enough of their fighting capabilities. Now Sri Lankan defence is in the hands of Pakistani ISI which is providing it battle tactics. This guy Kiran Kumar perhaps is an ISI agent, or a Pakistani. Sporting a Hindu-sounding name he is a wolf in sheep's clothing. If he is a Sri Lankan Tamil in all probability he is a communist. And communists are known traitors throughout the world. No wonder he is talking crap of comparing Kashmir, Naxalism etc. to the problems faced by Tamils of SL. No use arguing with a purblind communist ideologue who is bent upon wrecking his fellow countrymen. He is best left ignored. The plight of Tamils started in Sri Lanka with their independence from Britain. The Bandaranaike dynasty started it all subjecting Tamils to third grade citizenry starting early fifties. The breaking point of 1983 saw the emergence of LTTE taking up the cause of the Tamils. And the Tamils of Sri Lanka have nothing to loose because they have already lost everything at the hands of Sinhala chauvinists. Javelin thrower Muthiah Muralidharan is a pathetic exhibition piece for the cowardly Sinhalese. Eddappans are nothing new amongst the Tamil community and Kiran Kumar is the latest reincarnation of E. [For the kind knowledge of those sympathetic to the Tamil cause, Eddappan is the equivalent of Mir Jaffar.]

If India intervenes without safeguards for Tamils, would it be morally right? It would be giving license to genocide. Hence if India intervenes militarily, there must be a political solution first.

Our country will not bomb its own civilians like sri lankan government is doing. We hardly use air force in may trouble spots in India. Even to the fact the Russian Govt does not use Air Force to deal with Chechen Rebels.. Wake up my fellow Indians. Sri Lankan Tamils deserve a decent place and have their own autonomous state. If The Sri Lankan Singhalese Racist Rajapaksa cannot accept that then divide the country. Many Sri Lankan Tamils would like to join and attach it as another state in India. Open your Eyes. The Singhalese hate the Indians and they love the Pakistanis and the Chinese. Only way to protect India is to have a Tamil state south of us as a counter move to the Chinese and Pakistanis. Kiran claims he is a Tamil but he is not. I am sorry Kiran you do not have a drop of blood that says Tamil from your writings. I want Sri Lanka to have peace and give the Tamils a separate state. Every Tamil in Sri lanka is a form of Tiger. Even my friends in Tamil Nadu say they support LTTE but because of the law they do not talk about it.
