The best way to bring peace to Sri Lanka is to cut the supply of goods and all airlines flight to Sri Lanka. This will make the Govt think and come to the peace table with no pre condition.
Right now the Rajapaksah Government thinks the Military is strong and they can crush the tigers. The Chief of Army said in February that they would get the Tigers out with the help of Karunas child soldiers out of eastern province by Tamil Sinhala New Year. Well that day have come and gone and they are still fighting or trying to get the Tigers out.
The best news is Rajapaksha says Sri Lanka is not on a war footing. Its just attacking Tigers to contain them. I guess he thinks rest of the world is stupid. He says he will bring a peace plan by March. Now it is April and nothing has come out. How can anyone trust this guy when he is in bed with ISI?

Darshan Jain, you are very exact and all fellow Indians should try to understand the situation there.
Whoever responds against LTTE need to understand one thing. People call LTTE as terrorists.
Well I have a question to ask.
The Sinhala state bombards civilian areas killing hundreds of innocent civilians, their farm fields, Tamil infrastructures including killing Tamil journalists, children and women.
Has the LTTE air attack killed any civilian?
LTTE has been always attacks the military targets or people/resources having close links with military. PLEASE UNDERSTAND THIS FIRST.
When Eelam had offered a ceasefire during the Worldcup final, The state sent it's Kfirs/Migs to bomb Eelam diplomats watching the cricket final. IS THIS FAIR?

Tamils of North and east wanted a separate state for last 50 years but the Sinhala politicians will not agree to it. As a high level govt IAS officer I had personal experience about this. The real educated Singhalese wants peace and wants to give the Tamils a separate state but the politicians wants to stay in power like George Bush saying USA will be alert all the time and he is the only person can do a good job. Politicians are politicians wherever you go. That goes for the Sri lankan Tamil politicians too. Sanjay: Tamil want a federal Sri Lanka and a state for them. Most of the Tamils said to me that they would like to join India as a state than under the singhala unitary system. If they cannot give a separate state then divide Sri Lanka. Its good for the Balkans, Kosvo, Macedonia, Bosnia etc. Why not in Sri Lanka. May god help all the people of Sri Lanka. That is what Buda will want. That is not the uneducated thugs who wear orange cloths and call them selves Buddhist monks. Please be kind to all people even to the Tigers. That is the real Indian way.

"supporting your naxalites and ISI"????? Sanjay Reddygaru its all false stories spreaded over by sinhala govt. News papers like the Hindu are funded for that and there are more 'gentleman officers' whom work for sinhala govt here. Do you know?
Moreover its Eelam which supports India in every aspect...it cried with us for indira gandhi and it supported us in war with pak and china. But in international arena the sinhala govt work and vote against Indias will. It requires little common sense for you like to understand the reality.

Do not forget that LTTE is a terrorist organization. It is in no way different from PLO, IRA. Do you know what happened to PLO and IRA? Violence, like what LTTE has been following does not provide any solution. Take examples of our own freedon struggle, Mandela's struggle against apartheid in S Africa, etc. Tamils might have suffered in SL, but violence is not a solution.
LTTE will harm India as well as SL. LTTE will be crushed very soon.

by raghuram All revolutioneries are called as terrorist,like the british called our revolutioneries as terrorist.In INDIA we people are behaving like selfish to our own people.I request all Tamilians get out of the country of were it is voilence now ,come to your Mother land and live a peaceful life and work hard to be a big businessmen,scientist,like our president and our big buisnessmen.we tamilians are going to be killed in sl even we follow Gandhiji's peace or Subhash Chandra bose revolutionery method,bcoz of the government. we live like orphan in that country and i dont think all SL people are bad there r many good people.Many of them even treat us like brothers or sisters,but some bad people started the voilence which has become disaster now.I feel happy when i see tamil letters written on srilankan area.I dont feel anything wrong to learn sinhalese language too,sinhalese have only one relatives that is tamilians.I pray to God to deliver the message of peace in both the hearts and lets stop speaking about hatered and the past.i want both the people to come to each others land and to learn both languages bcoz in india i live in mumbai i speak four language Tamil,marathi,hindi and english and follow a mixed culture and deliver my culture to others.

I think we should not worry about whatever happening in Srilanka. I can undestands my Tamil brothers and sisters who live in India but we have our own problems and we have deal with them strongly. But if LTTE or Srilanka will try to attack on integrity of India or if they will attack on Indian fishermen then we should give them answer strongly. JAI HIND
