why so far
by AMIT ARYA on Apr 27, 2007 11:13 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

it shows that how far we are from our own culture. when some other people talks about our culture.
i get fear of that day when other country people will start teaching indians indian culture.
no we all feel very happy that some one says about our culture but where we are. it also shows that may be indians are anywhere but they love their own culture. there are so many indian people snf they say nothing is in indian culture but like this people they are sick and have so many familly problems, they never get love in their life so they blame culture. this is that culture that if you leave then you will be become just like animal. SANSKRIT AND SANSKRITI

Khadak,

Slave and sick minds like you will never able to understand the imporatance of heritage and culture. You will respect Sanskrit only when Germans will come and teach you. You guys have grossly contaminated with inferiority complex and would never able to come out of it.

Speaking a language and respecting a culture is two different things. Many foreign dignitaries or even Indian diplomats speak others language in their land to show a political closeness which is always linked to BUSINESS. If the foreigners really respect our culture then why so many foreigners are engaged in such acts for media and organisations to cry out and go to courts. Eg. Richard Gere, Puskar Mela incident etc.

India's Greatness
by vani kasiviswanathan on Apr 27, 2007 11:12 AM  Permalink

I feel very happy to read this news. There is so much positiveness in it. It feels good when someone talks good about our country and holds it in great respect. If not for the 100 crore Indians, atleast the Greek President knows and appreciates the History of this great country (and theirs also). Our media and people only speak all bad things about our country. Yes, we can (and should) be self-critical, but not to the extreme as we always do. Let us be positive and do our bit to take our country to even greater heights. JAI HIND!

dear indian please dont make nonsense comments. Javed is right.. do we really give respect to our language. Most of the Indians when they meet consider it a shame to speak in our language. Also why do we always have to bring religion here. There are millions of Muslims who are ready to die for this Nation and dont forget people like Abdul Hamid, APJ himself .. and many many more.

Sanskrit, The Language of Vedas
by Lalitha Rao Bhavansikar on Apr 27, 2007 11:08 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Sanskrit is the language of Vedas. Vedas means the knowledge to be known to deal with World in harmony and peace. Lord Krishna says in Bhagavad Gita "vedais ca sarvair aham eva vedyam" which means "Among all the Vedas, I am to be known. Indeed I am the source of the Vedas." Let us thank Lord Krishna who is the source of Sanskrit which is impeccable.

Murthy, Chanakya lives very much in His own Bharatvarsh. He wears NOTHING repeat NOTHING but the culture of Ramayana, Mahabharat, Mahavir, and Budhdha. It takes some time to understand the language of Chanakya. Once understood, it is very much cherishable - not perishable like the western culture. All those who have taken the nation to great heights in many fields today are chanakyas, Fish of shallow waters abhor the deep oceans of chanakyas. JRDs, Dheerus, Narayans, Azims are all the recent versions of chanakya. Chanakya is no longer a name. It is an adjective. It is a brand ambassador of Bharatvarsh.

It will be proved someday...........
by chinmoy chatterjee on Apr 27, 2007 11:01 AM  Permalink

I am sure it will be proved in future that Sanskrit is the most scientific language, pronounciation of this language helps us to protect from so many deseases,it helps to built

a good and honest mind.

But perhaps it will be proved by the scientists

of developed countries as in our country our

culture is getting turned towards negativity

because the leadership is in hand of wrong people. So naturally they will not like Sanskrit

or any possitive things.

May God Bless us/common people of India

Sanskrit, Greek and Media
by KN S on Apr 27, 2007 11:00 AM  Permalink

What a great honour to the language and the Indian culture as expounded by the Greek President! Sadly, We, in India, learn to respect only when something gets recognized by the westerb countries.

And media has not spare time for covering such issues; perhaps too busy with the marriage of Ash-Abhi!
