Good job !!!!

Congratulations !!! to the Docs at Wockhardt.

The DOCs in US are scared of litigation and probably don't have enough experience. They also take too long to give an appointment and
dont want to work on weekends.

Wockhardt is good but I have heard that they
are too expensive for the common man in India.
Does Wockhardt or the Docs there plan to do
such surgeries at a reduced cost for the
common man ?. I know that making money and
profit is important for all, but this is a
matter of life and death especially for
new borns.

Cheers to Indian Docs !!!

They will perform surgery even after the patient is dead, just to make some money. Courtesy, yesterday's news in eenadu.net, a telugu website.

You better read the news first and then reply. Get a translator for Telugu, if you don't understand it. Don't reply by reading half the message

I think it will be fine. Chennai has some of the best medical facilities. 35 years of reservations has been very effective.

There are no reservations in private hospitals. How good are govt. hospitals in Chennai?

It is not a question of govt hospital vs. private. It is about the doctors that are produced by the universities under a reservation system.
For that matter how good are the govt hospitals in the north where are no reservations. All the domination by the brahmins and forward castes -- and they are still middling in mediocrity and corruption.

guys, come down, enough of self proclamations. Remember this is the first of this kind of surgery in india not first in the world. we indians tend to celebrate too early on small achievements. Look at the other side how corporate hospitals in India squeeze poor people and can any one of guy in this forum go to a govt hospital..? Even on economic front also we are just self proclaiming when crores of people are under developed. Guys there is a long way to go to reach the standards of developed countries. congrats to the parents and good job done by the doctors.
