mumbai cops many times eliminate mafia dons in similar 'encounters'.they get awarded.
Fake encounters are neccessary in this country because if they arrest such people,these people hire good lawyers,witnesses against them turn hostile due to threats/bribe and the court is unable to punish them. so within few weeks these people are back in business.
people dont care how mafia is eliminated. legally or illegaly .it makes no difference to the common man.

true my dear. no research required. everyone accepts his golden credentials of being goon, hafta vasooler, mafia. of his wife also who supported his activities. but research is required into the reasons why IPS officers had to do that cleaning and not the judiciary or the politicians. don't they have guts to do that? or they bend law only to there own benefit and not for the larger interests as these officers did.
