It is only in India that such foolish, greedy and self centered politicians get elected to fulfil such ridiculously flawed caste based reservation policies. It is a shame that we elect these people. If it is felt that the forward castes are better off then the other castes should emulate the practices (culturally and intellectually)of the upper castes and try to match them. But on the other hand punishing one group of people for having coming up in life due to their own efforts is no where practiced in the world and justified. It is high time the politicians realise this and stop spoiling the society and country by reservations making everybody backward to meet their selfish motives. It is high time that the likes of Arjun Singh and those who support reservation on caste lines realise their folly and reform themselves at least now.

Yes I am 100% in favor of you. Thanks for putting up such a wonderful thoughts.
Of couse there are discrimination,But definatly not as persumed. There are some backward classes in SC categories I can even see today. But No social back wardness in any other class. Ecanomical Backwardness is commen irrespective of caste. To salve this problem: 1.There should be a cences district wise about back wardness(socila and economical)of a perticular group of people. 2.By doing it, we can I dentify the people group and we can decide about the reservation for this group only. 3.But please put this condition,If a person is given eduction one time and job reservation one time, then his next generaton will not get any type of reservation. Thus we can effectively create social equal.Eliminate cremy layer isolating thier on fellow-caste persons from benifits. What is going on is just vote bank politics, which will lead to a perment reservation up to 50 percent, but at the end of 50 years now insolated back wards remain there only, and cremay layer will prosper in the name of caste.
It is too premature to celebrate in any form. These devious politicians of the Arjun Singh, Sonia Gandhi and Manmohan Singh type, with all evil in their mind and deeds, will gang up and enact some act in Parliament which no one can question, let alone touch. The better solution to this problem is for the so - called forward castes (and I am supposed to be one by birth as per government calculations) is to recognise the need for 100% reservation in all areas of education and employment for everyone who is not a forward caste, right from LKG to IIMs. This will create irreconciliable internecine quarrels among the various alleged OBCs, minorities, etc., so that there will be a bloody social war among them for which the forward castes can not be blamed. Meanwhile, the forward castes must educate their progeny informally at home and in groups among themselves, write degree exams through distance education programmes and fly off to foreign centres because there they will recognise merit and not by whether or not you wear a thread on or across your body.
In dirty politics to get a milage of every situation has become a practice. Salute to Supreme Court judgement, it desrves. HR minister to resign immediately for politicising education and toying with students future to fulfil agenda of congress vote bank.
I fully agree with the government that there should be reservation for the socially deprived families. In this Context, IIMs are totally wrong and are unaware about BHARAT.IIMs professors and students are only worried about their US visas and are totally selfish. The proposed Law by the Parliament related to Regulatory framework for IIMs is the need of the hour.

When MM Joshi and the previous government wanted to reduce the fees, there was a universal cry from 1. The iim management 2. the media 3. the congress party that autonomy of the institution was at stake. Now Arjun Singh(s) and Soniaji have found a solution - take over administrative control and bury autonomy. When congress intervenes it is for universal benefit. What a twisted logic?

Harvinder, Did u fail to get into IIT/IIM, if you would have studies in atleast one of them, you wouldn't talk this way. And yes I studied there, so I have the right to talk abt them.
All those including obc/sc/st who are against reservation must join hands in the celebrations. The government will be forced to extend reservation to all minorities - brahmins (vp singh supports this), FC, sikhs, jains, buddhists, muslims, christians, parsis, ahmadias, srilankan refugees, illegal bangladesh immigrants - well, the list is endless. Each community will get quarter or half a seat, and the politicians will make a pocket auctioning these. A similar money-making is happening in PDS, ration cards, free tvs, free land (in Tamil nadu). Let the government spend more on universal quality primary and secondary education, set up more institutions of higher learning with or without private partnership. More control or more privileges (recent human trafficking by MPs will only help the corrupt politicians; we the public irrespective of our caste or creed will be the victims.
