Quota
by arungopal agarwal on Apr 23, 2007 03:54 PM  Permalink

Slap on Arjun and Manmohan? The public money wasted by them on litigation etc., should be recovered from their perqs/allowances.

primary/secondary schools
by Just Me on Apr 23, 2007 03:54 PM  Permalink

This is wonderful for the future of indian and the indian people.
THe govt. should immediately focus on a war-footing in opening/imrpoving primary and secondary schools in the villages and small towns all over India.

how long reservation should live. When OBC/SC/ST will enter into the real competative world. How many days they want to beg for the reservations. Can't they work hard and get into competition. Ask financial aid if you are poor, ask for free education if you are poor, but not ask a seat/job, because that will show your weakness.

well said, if what you say is done, there is no vote bank to gain, my friend.I belong to OBC, thank god,my father never put me in reservation quota and im where im because of merit. But I also see many so called forward caste students not continue their studies because they had to go to slog out at a early age to keep the family fire burning. If financial aid and free education is provided they would also have made a mark, but then the politicians wouldnt have had their vote banks.

He is great man who want to improve the quality of work in INDIAN government institutes.

Just try to change your throught and thing little bit wider. Beyond caste boundary and think about country. Now it is time for to puss world behind us,which is not possible if we will keep on creping for reservation in place of ability & qualification.

Reservation
by Nihit Jain on Apr 23, 2007 03:52 PM  Permalink

Let it be open yaar, why government wants to interfere in every matter and wants to create disparity among youth. Be it a open competition and let govt. work on grassroot level providing education and incentives to OBC.

1931 colonial logic
by biz Narayan on Apr 23, 2007 03:52 PM  Permalink

1931 colonial logic of race, aryan invasion, the aryans, the jews, the brtitish colony et al.. all this is gone. Then it was to keep the colony under brits, now it is to keep the colony by globalized theoriticians from west.
