Brahmos
by rajendranathen pv on Apr 23, 2007 11:19 AM  Permalink

We must congratulate all those who were a part of this success - including the DRDO. And let us hope for more and more success and grow into
a real super power without waging any war.

Radar systems
by Sarnath Kannan on Apr 23, 2007 08:35 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Can this missile beat the Radar?
I see this works @ super-sonic speed.
If this beats the Radar, does it mean that
no anti-missile system can detect and attack
it ?

Thanks in advance for any clarifications.

Cruise missiles basically "skim" very near to the earth's surface. that's why they r very "difficult" to be detected by the radar. Anti-missile systems use the combination of radars and anti-missiles, so if the radars can detect the cruise, then only it can b shot down, otherwise.......

Could not get much from Wiki.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Supersonic

Radar uses "Radio waves". It could be difficult
to escape it unless probably u travel faster than light :-( Not sure though..

Yes. That is good Idea, I appreciate your idea.
But any of our programs are not aimed at any country, it is for our self defensive purpose & I wish, we never have to use those, for these I pray God.

I already mentioned, don't relate our success in any missiles to any country. It is defense purpose only. Defense means, when we are at risk. So, don't tell anything on your own here & don't try to relate my comments.

DRDO's part...
by Sarnath Kannan on Apr 23, 2007 07:41 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

What was DRDO's part in it? I really suspect
if they had contributed anything significant.
Because, we all know that DRDO is known for
stagnating projects , un-finished projects
and poor technical management.

So, Can some1 throw some light on this?

If you r readin this message and if u r a
DRDO guy, please care to explain my questions.

Its the matter of 'if one can do it or not?' with or without help. And yes our team has shown that they can do it. Congratulations. Regarding our abilities to do any thing in any field ..its the Joint responsibility of all of us. If we have faith in ourselves ....nothing is impossible for us. All humans, great or ordinary have same body structure. We Indians have to face lot of scepticism because we have not convinced our peers that we are 'able'.
This will happen soon. Till then LAGE RAHO

I think we should hire a 50 % staff at drdo from russia. They will really discipline the way things go on and the future batches of drdo would be more likely to produce good results as standards once set are only going to improve. and somebody please develop a nuclear capable sub and fit it with brahmos. those fork in pak is really need it to relieve the khujali up their are se.

For that, we don't need anything like that. Some medicine will do that. I already told that second time, our missile success is not aimed at any country.
