Death
by Humanist on Apr 19, 2007 11:04 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

of any human being is a sad and poignant affair. However I cant help but smile at the crocodile tears of hypocritical middle class Indians for a US citizen who was not even ready to have his body buried here. We dont care about poor people but when some NRI dies we express our grief and sorrow. And our government bends over backwards to give tickets to family members. The same government which doesnt care for all the poor kids who were being killed in Noida for over a year

This adds meaning. In India Indians have no value. What happened to the Gujarat MP who took women to Toronto for a price on his wife's passport. You call it legitimate. Only such people are given chance.

Americans too are for money or else no respect. The Noida killing has government done anything NO. The government citizens are the blood suckers and ask Chidambaram he will only say increase tax the guy who lives lavish, Alagappa, Annamalai University and his wife a CA with Mysore Scion Srikanta Wadiyar

What's the need...
by Ajay Pandita on Apr 19, 2007 11:02 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

This is indeed a very sad news. Its pity to see where the world is heading for. People killing people....reasons, maybe even they don't know.

But can anyone tell me what's the need to leave our country and go abroad sacrificing so much and then probably gaining nothing at the end....

Repeating what I posted before in this thread: You have to take into account what's called political correctness. Imagine there are no indians in US: US wouldn't even care to make ties with india, as there is nobody to prove in their own land who indians are. Remember a few years back most americans didn't even know where india lies in the world map, and now most people just envy the word 'indian'. You might argue that india can do it all on their own, but for economics 101: US is the biggest customer anyone can ask for as of today - if india doesn't do it in the service industry, china/russia/brazil will do it just like they did in the manufacturing. The professor is a symbol of our proud display of intelligence in their own land. In a layman's sense, your argument sounds like "who asked my neighborhood grocer to sell groceries to others - he and his family can cook and eat them all by themselves". Of course he can take groceries and money from his own store, but he has to sell more than he spends for himself to meet his other needs and to save for his future. Why can't you understand this simple fact of market economy.

People with noble pursuits of giving and getting education got killed in a random
event. This was not an act of terrorism, not a war, but much like an unanticipated natural disaster. Our deepest sympathies to the families of victims. Knife is a nice tool. It is the user who makes food or kills someone. I find this as a very inappropriate moment to be discussing gun control, that too by random people on the internet. - Subu

STOP production of the guns and any other weapon which can take life of anyone, for simple reason that every bullet has potential to kill a living object...

May his soul rest in peace
by Tanuj Sood on Apr 19, 2007 10:52 AM  Permalink

God is also fond of snatching the lives of those people away who are contributing to the society in a positive manner. An IIT-K professor who was in the noblest of all the professions (teaching) was gunned down by a maniac without any rhyme or reason. Corrupt people like past and present CMs of all the states, politicians, police men taking bribe on the road, terrorists etc aren't picked up by almighty. Such a wonderful soul met such a tragic end. May be he was just not destined to live a day more in this hostile and corrupt world.

May his sould rest in peace!

President of USA should control Gun/Weapons
by us on Apr 19, 2007 10:42 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

President of USA should control and regulate Guns/weapons... at the earliest. And also should
regulate all companies producing such weapons and selling it.

To have guns and free access to weapons is not the way to save personal life, Mr. Bush or US
president should understand and realise it.

Otherwise there will be many more such horrific incidents americans will see in their future.
