Devils behind wheels of fortune & power
by ARVIND JAIN on Apr 19, 2007 02:59 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

The Courts esp. High courts & Supreme courts are really cut above in the pillars of democracy. They hear the unheard and we are proud of these instituions like Army which evoke simply Salutations.............and are ready to take on our political establishments no matter come what may. The judiciary should one day regulate directly the politics of country to help build a better developed india.

while i dont sympathise with this guy at all cause there isnt any regret in what he has done and he deserves more punishment than what he has got, we need to look at this from another angle also. did those ppl have any right to sleep on the pavement. apparently not. pavements are mean for walking and not for sleeping in the night. you can book someone for drunk driving and punish him for that but surely cant blame the deaths of ppl whom the car has run over. its for the state to ensure that the footpaths are not encroached over and ppl dont start sleeping on the streets.

State is unable to control the ever mushrooming slums, and pavements are enroached by shops, stalls, telephone booths, milk vendors and no body seems to bothered.

These poor labourers were sleeping on the pavement because some contractor has brought them from a poor village to do a job which you and I wont do and since accomodation is at a premium in Mumbai, the poor labourer has to sleep on the pavement. Why blame him.Why make fun of the poor.

Parera & Court Case
by chandra nayar on Apr 19, 2007 02:48 PM  Permalink

This has become routine in India, every now and then the police ios diluting the case for the reasons best known to them.
It is commendable that the High Court has taken cognizence of the case and hope THE INNOCENT POOR PEOPLE who died would get justice,

I do remember when this verdict came, it was published in one leading daily that this guy parrera is upset of the case, bcoz his studies has been hampered, the parents of parrera is mentally upset bcoz there loving child is in prison
I want to ask question to this boy
what about those who have lost there lives?
Some body must be studying frm them, what about there studies?
What about the families of those who died?
I wish some of his (parrera's) family member or relative must read my words & ask parrera what is the answer
