BEST bus service has the best service in the world.
It can take you to any point in Mumbai at very reasonable fare.
The operators have a high stress job due to traffic congestion, unruly pedestrians and strict schedules to follow. Drivers have stayed in their buses on 26/7 all night when owners abandoned their cars on the road to seek shelter. On days of strike also, BEST is running with minimal protection in the form of wire guards on their windows.
Ultimately the average bus travelling mumbaikar will have to shell extra rupees to pay these drivers and conductors.Its high time that the BEST management take tough decisions and hire new employees to counter the strike.72 hours is too long a time and the losses borne by the government will be huge.

Has any judge the courage to book the three Asses and put them behind the bars at least for a week for the contempt of the court ?
This is a blatant and most disgusting contempt of the Indian judiciary as a whole.
A very sad and a very bad precedent.
The other day Qadross (taxi union) was talking in a rubbish and most irresponsible manner on the TV when the anchor reminded him about the court order.
I think strikes are no a solution to meet your demands. Try some innovatiove method to show your frustration, like students affected by anti quota agitation did.
But i look strike from positve angle- this will give Mumbai a much needed FRESH air or less polluted air. So breadth healthy. And BEST employee -try innovative method.
Mumbaiites are used to service disfunction, whether it is water, electricity, transport services etc. In India, nobody owns responsibility for discomfort to common people. Politicians have no accountability towards voters. They only have tall claims to make, good at various scams and mintimg money. It's time for educated people to look for opportunities in better countries than to get frustrated here.
India ka kuch nahi hone wala, Kabhi Auto rickshaw strike, Kabhi Bus strike, Kabhi taxi strike, Kuch nahi to power cut & train employees on strike, But at the end of the A normal Middle class & lower middle class people are facing the problem. Best employees are getting royal facility, (I have personal seen them taking treatment in Hospitals) We are fools that We are ruing behind MNC companies job, we all can see Best & other govt bodies employees are really enjoying their family life, enjoying public holidays & taking so many leaves & over and above enjoying monthly salary on time. More they need hike in salary, first of all ask them to improve in services, increase their working hours, have a look at their performance (to work in same company for more than 20 years or 10 years is not good performance, it shows that you are lazy employee & not ready to work hard, not getting job in other organization & look at their buses quality, on what basis they are asking salary hike. Every bus is on strike either for salary hike or for bonus.
Nothing is going to be happen with best, we are wasting our time & energy.
