Instant Physcho
by Siva Kumar on Apr 18, 2007 09:30 AM  Permalink

I think the killer had turned into an Instant Physcho, and apart from curbing on weapons, is there any means we can identify these kind of potential people and quarantine them and treat them so that they dont become menace to the soceity.

Condolences to dear Nishu and all other Minu's friends and family members.

Though I haven't seen Minu, the messages seen in Orkut shows what kind of friend and a person he is. May his soul rest in peace. I pray the God to give enough strength to his family members at this juncture.

some lessons for US
by roy jose on Apr 18, 2007 09:28 AM  Permalink

too much of freedom is what will lead to the deterioration of the US. It's all about money, sex & violence in the US. Stop making "action" movies with immediate effect or keep it very minimum - 1 for every 50 genuine love movies, patriotic movies, movies of great sacrifice, faith, etc. By the time a child becomes 13-14 he has lost respect for his parents. He want to live his own life with friends and do drugs and drinks. Catch them young and beat them and make them toe the line before it's late. Then only US will remain a great country forever.

Shame on us
by on Apr 18, 2007 09:15 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

It is really shame on indians to go and work serve in another country rather then India and get killed. It is happening with Doctors in UK and shortly it will happen with Engineers in US.

I think you are one of those losers who tried and didnt get it thru...! Do not blame anybody on just your experience.

Its good that you are getting a job because some percentage of people had moved to other places in search of jobs. We do not have enough jobs for all the people in India and this is not an issue at all to discus in this post. Here we are grieving for a loss of life and maybe discuss about how we can make this whole world much more safe place to live in.

Rediff is full of 2 kinds of visitors: the winners who never bothered to go abroad and made a successful career in the motherland, and the losers who tried and failed to go the US and dont miss a chance to show the US in bad light. You need to be in the US for at least a month to appreciate the quality of life.

Don't ordinary people get murdered in India? This week, I got to know on Rediff that some 16-year-old cancer patient got raped in Tata Hospital in Mumbai. I am in the US for 17 years, and can say that overall security is not a concern here. The probability of this happening is quite low.

U mean probability of happening rape is low?? yes because there the culture is free sex..and it starts at the age of 10 and is done even in schools...classes...in front of fellow students.. great culture..

Hope we Indians do no copy that too.

Please let me open your eyes by saying that worst tragedies have happened in India in which so many innocent lives have gone, most recently the Mumbai local train blasts and other such horrid cases, so getting killed in US is a much rarer case then getting killed here in India! Thats for sure...and just for a thought,US has a much casual policy on guns and we have these rare shootouts may once or twice in 5 years, just imagine what would happen if the Indian govt. would have had the same casual gun policy?!...

Mahatma Gandhi got inspired by Satya Harischandra drama in his childhood. We got a good leader like him preaching non violance..

Look at today's kids, they regularly watch movies filled with violence and obscene scences..
An avarage Indian when he turns 18 probably would have seen 10,000 murders and 8000 rape scenes in movies and television dramas..What can we expect from kids who have been additcted to watch crime?

There was a survey conducted in U.S.A 10 years ago for rise in crime rates..Final conclusion was hollywood movies and television media were indirectly responsible for increase in Crime rate.
If we inspire children, the goodness of life
they will atleast become good citizens..or else mascacare at Indian colleges are not far away..
