Heart felt condolences
by sanjay verma on Apr 18, 2007 02:18 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Death comes in its predestined time and it can not be prevented. It does not matter where and how the person died. what is more important is how did he lead his life. Looking at the profile of prof.Loganathan, one can only say, he lead his life his way and thats what matters. He did what he enjoyed doing.
Heartfelt condolence to all his family members. May his soul rest in peace.

Girish, you are insensitive. How can loss of life be taken in a flippanyt attitude? I pray to God that He gives his family the strength to bear this irreparable loss.

five people died in a horrible road accident in Bangalore. I dont see that anywhere in any news channels. Maybe an NRI life is more valuable than a middle class Indian.

.....so if one of our family members dies, that has less 'value' or is less worth grieving than if someone else's does? How can one measure grief and loss in this way? I think its completely insensitive.

Expressing sympathy and grief on a personal level need not mean that one is ignoring larger political issues.

You are right. All these ppl leave India and go to settle in US, and they get attention. Moreover, they do not have courtesy to look after their parents or their family and just need the fame... "Working in America" :)

I may have to support this view of Zurich...bcoz...the parents and family of the deceased do not have passports atleast....Moreover the family members declared that the deceased's ast wish to be burried in university premises...is there anything skeptical...

u r partially correct.sometime we r responding too much on certain thing due to media hype.but u can not equalise death due to accident and this type of death. As it has merit to respond sensitively.

Ashish,
do you remember Noida killings. How late the news came into limelight. That guy was killing people for over a year with impunity. Just wake up to reality and make lots of money

Sad Reality
by Raji Ramaswami on Apr 18, 2007 01:54 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

We Indians mourn when we lose our near and dear. We are treated as Aliens outside India. Why do we Indians love that(going out of India) when we can find happiness here. Is earning in $$$ the only road for happiness? I am sure INR too has earned its respect now in India. Now for all untoward un-necessary incidents, we need to repent. May their (32 as claimed) souls rest in peace.
