I am aware of a Brahmin, his grand father was a shopkeeper with a small shop in a nondesript Himachal Village. Grandfather worked hard throuhout his life and took care of his family of 4 children. His elder son was just metric pass and worked hard as a clerk and retired as head clerk with 3 children. Elder sons (Only son )could study uptill MSc Physics and got job on a open merit exam to ONGC but disillusioned left ONGC after serving for 7 years and training whole batch of SC/ST's who were never interested in working or making ONGC as their career. Rather all these SC/ST's were earning ONGC money and preapring for IAS. Finally almost all of them left ONGC except few. What a waste. Anyhow this man also left ONGC as a disillusioned person. He worked for US multinational and became its India chapter chief. He was so much against quota system that he sent his son out side India ( as he never wanted to load Indian Industry as well as education system, by taking job for him self or seat for his son in IIT) . He himself became Consultant to global multinationals, now wants to leave India. Has earned in Dollars to contribute foreign excahnge to India's kitty,
So that SC/ST/OBC can get what they want.
All through I see a story of strugle to improve self without begging for/against reservation.
Well that is my story.
By now I have paid more than 50 lach INR as income tax to Govt. of India, what else these politicians want from me. MY BLOOD ??? Well if you all SC/ST/OBC are happy to take my blood than take it, I have lived and seen enough of it.
Or else work and share some hard earned experiences to take INDIA to global competition. Instead of talk about Dravidian/Aryans/Manuvad etc. Neither me nor you can rewrite history , but we can toghether write India's FUTURE. I love my country I do not want to leave it. I want to work for it. If you OBC/SC/ST feel my father/grandfather and myself has done injustice to your cause than I will be willing to leave India.

ASHOK, I appreciate your passion. Can you publicly disclose how you have repented/rectified your social sins.

I will remain active on Rediff as ashok I am waiting for my application for immigration to be considered. Most likely this year. My son is studying abroad and if God willing my 2nd child (daughter will also be not a burden to India, and I will like her to compete globally,I am trying to earn enough Dollars to support her studies abroad, or else ask my son to help) Give me 2007 and I am ready to publically talk and debate. I travel extensively and it really pains when I see our politicians make us fight for sins which I have not committed, nor father or my grandfather. We need to come out of this debate of SC/ST/OBC and ask my fellow beings that it almost takes 3 generations to come up and have reasonable living. Barring few such as Dhirubhai Ambani. Who were definitely more talented and focoused. They never talked about past. They talked about future and created wealth for India and in India. Let us all do that. I have done this so far, in my own humble little way.

Please sir dont get disheartened because as soon as the govt is forced to introduce creamy layer concept these every strong reservationist will become very vocal anti-reservationist and not even remain neutral in just one go rest assured.
Afterall we all including creamy layer want upliftment of "backward caste" but not at our own expense

Dear Sir, Heartiest congratulations. I am also trying to pursue higher education in medical sciences in USA. In my family 5 cousins, all are merit holders, have already left the country and settled happily in USA and UK without having any benefit of reservation for them there!
I went thru your said site, most of its material is anti-reservation sited with proper and very good examples. They have even strong arguments than me. It doesnt have much and convincing pro-reservation material.
I am sure you understand and can make your friends also understand, If i am snatching something from some one, i should be punished. there is no need for rationalising such an act. reservation was granted by Dr Ambedkar to dalits, as per our constitution, only for 10 years, but now it seems, it may go on for hundreds of years and may add many more castes (almost all the castes) into its ambit.
why have the reservations been increasing since independence.
that means, till the time of independence, attrocities commited had been limited to sc and st only, but now, in these 60 years fresh attocities have have been commited on aditional castes and now reservations are being extended to other additional castes, obcs, etc and to sc / st also. so, it means attocities are increasing in free india. do you really think so. otherwise why more and more reservations now, after 60 years.
where is it going to end.
Caste calculations have become the basis of Indian democracy. votes of samajwadi party & rjd are calculated on the basis of muslims and yadavs in their respective states. bsp on dalits and now brahmins. all the parties are banking on some or the other castes / religion, in their own regions.
why are UP and Bihar not developing, because of caste politics. By reservations we taking our country hundreds of years backwards. we are bringing the ills of caste system back in india again. and this is only creating a rift between the various castes.
May be, if Dr Ambedkar would not have reserved seats for sc and st probably they would have been in the mainstream today and may have been seen with honour in india today, by their sirnames, rather than by sc / st, which have become derogatory words today.
today media has become so free and advanced, specially in free countries like india, any one can make a phone call to a pvt news channel and even a small story of attrocity (justified or not) is flashed on news channels all over the country. even attrocity commited on terrorist by police donot go unnoticed. i dont know the history of kairlanji episode. i think nobody knows who killed them. it was enmity, or motive, or something else, nobody knows. ideally there should be no murders. but many murders are also taking place in the northeast, of the baniyas, who have gone there to work. In UP and Bihar there are regular fights between the armies of different castes (irrespective of upper orlower castes), who kill each other on petty issues. who is responsible for all this division and hatred and lives lost. is it our caste based democracy.
we are here to make india a peacefull and developed country or to divide it on the basis of castes, just to exploit them as and when required.

Hi yogesh and bharat By the way dont get disheartened because as soon as the govt is forced to intoduced creamy layer concept these every strong reservationist will become very vocal anti-reservationist and not even remain neutral in just one go rest assured.
Afterall we all including creamy layer want upliftment of "backward caste" but not at our own expense.
It is very Pity and Sorry that Brahmin is also reaching on the position of schedule caste. But Quota is the problem and neccessity of the Govt. If it is scraped the most of the SC/ST/OBC will embrass Christianity or Islam, where there is no discrition in the name of caste color and creed all human are equal in these religion. So Keeping them in Hiduism it is vital to continue reservation for ever.

I am trying to convince some of these points, but Dinesh is not accepting.
also I forgot to write that open students are not saying that nobody in the reserved caste has the merit equal to open. It is only issue about those students who have merit substantially less than open as I even mentioned examples of it.
Dear Dinesh, You pointed out that open category is filling out more and more by SC/STs and it is the major cause of fear of open students. It has to be yar! What is wrong in it? Everybody is concerned about his own future, arent you concerned about your own and your children? To be more precise, the rising % of reservation and this eating of seats has generated fear in open students, I personally dont think any wrong in this fear. But I assure you if we remove this caste reservation and even if all the seats are taken away by reserved category students in open competition (open getting none), the open students will not complain. Rather it will make scenario more competitive which will help our country.
Again you have fear that our country is not developed so how will we afford. Dont blame me for repetition but let me assure you that our country has plenty of money and it is really enough to set up that much world class institutes, only the gov in unwilling, implementing wrong policies and corruption taking away major part of it. I have experienced that only 10 -20 % of funds are used for assigned job, all the rest goes to the pocket. I was also the part of gov and this was the major reason why I left the job. Now plz dont try to point out which caste is more in the corruption. It is why I am repeatedly insisting to improve the functioning of gov, have a clear and fair system. You wont need caste reservation.
Dear Dinesh, I am happy you accepted at least some points. 1) You raised point about AIIMS doctors. I am continuously raising point about basic amenities. You have extensive data about Indian system. Let me give you little data as I have that much only. IIT is the top most prime institute in India yet stands 87th in the world. IIM stands 86th. No other institute is really of world standards. AIIMS which is the prime medical institute like IITs in India lag much behind in the world standard. The difference between the standards of these prime institute and other in India is huge. AIIMS has only 50 MBBS seats for the population of 1.10 billion country. Cant we have much more seats with world standard colleges in our country? As reserved category students are concerned about their education and progress, OBCs are demanding for the same reason; open category people are also concerned about their own future. What is so unnatural in it? If we make available plenty of seats it will help solve our problem. Even all those protesting doctors dont know what they want exactly. But if we make plenty of seats they will be happy. Now about your objection about the way doctors have followed for protest, I would like to use your own words- nobody is perfect, humans are supposed to do mistakes and now I say if such higher authority bodies having extensive experience make mistakes, these doctors are of the age of 25s only. Afterall, you cant deny the credit to these doctors and their agitation that they made gov increase the number of IITs, IIMs, AIIMS and seats in these colleges which is benefit for all casts. 2)Afterall you didnt say about my idea of 50% reservation to all castes which will ultimately satisfy all. Neither I nor you have to go behind extensive data for this. This is just the logical idea which will satisfy all the people and have objection of none.
