Rahul states his family won India's independence - So what were the other freedom fighters? Do they count for nothing? Does he know how many of them laid their life for it? Has he heard of the 'real' Gandhi? The one who walked the earth by the name Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi?
His family broke up Pakistan. Yeah your grandma did take some bold steps, but creation of Bangladesh, as we know it, had to do with a lot of other historically relevant happenings, turmoil and riots inside that country. Also there were thousands of Indian soldiers that laid their lives in that war. Instead of taking pride in their and the nation's victory, you choose to glorify it as a family achievement.
His family took India to 21st century. For your kind information, a BJP led government was in power at the dawn of 21st century in India. How did your family help in the growth India is seeing now? If anything the economic boom has to be credited with one man called P.V. Narasimha Rao, who had the vision and the courage to back it up with action, and tore India away from the Nehruvian socialist model. Yes the current prime minister implemented it for Rao. And the Gandhi family parasites and sycohpants, fearing this could spell their political doom, sidelined him and tarnished his reputation.
We Indians want young politicians to come out with their vision for this country. We need to have sessions like they do in US, where candidates for high posts debate on TV and talk of their vision and political agenda. But alas, none of our leaders can come out with such a vision or mission statement. They are busy manipulting power using religion and caste based vote banks, muscle power, poll-rigging etc. And the leader of the ruling party, the so-called most powerful woman in India, lack the courage and guts to even face a press conference.

Did any of the other ruling parties have the guts to send soldiers into another country? In Kargil, the so called patriotic BJP party managed only to reclaim lands they had lost.

When you say 'any of the other ruling parties', please understand that the Congress had the lion's share of power of the post-independence years of India.
They lost half of Kashmir to mercenaries from Pakistan at the very outset and have not been able to recapture it to date. That 'act of courage' is still bleeding India.
Kargil was an acknowledged intelligence failure and was promptly corrected and lost lands recaptured.
The Congress also showed the 'courage' to send our soldiers to Srilanka for a cause they didnt know and got a lot of them killed, with no ultimate gain whatsoever.

the act of 'tearing up pakistan' was a foolish, pyrric victory for India as it only made Pakistan stronger, created another enemy to our East and we lost lost million in money and thousand in soldiers and got exactly NOTHING for the war of 1972. And this gentleman is proud of it !
God knows when this family will stop making fool of nation.O.K. that family has played an active role in Indian politics but it does not mean that they take the credit for something which atleast they consider is graceful and at the same time not accepting blame for things for which only they are responsible such as partition at the time of independence, loosing a big part of Kashmir to Pak,China war and apart from that appeasement of muslims and in turn their under development. For the sake of knowledge of Mr. Rahul Gandhi,it was not Indiira gandhi who was responsible for the creation of Bangladesh. It was the faliure of the religion as the very basis for creation of East Pakistan. It aws internal conflict of earstwhile East Pakistan that led to the conditions culminating into ceation of Bangladesh. On part of India Indira Gandhi took various bold steps at that time which not many Indian politician can take.It was problem related with the influx of illegal infiltrators which Indira Gandhi tried to avoid by sending Indian army into that part of Pakistan. For this she deserved the praise. But that does not mean at all that she created Bangladesh.By saying all this Rahul is only stamping the wrong stance taken by Pakistanis so far that it was India who created Bangladesh. All this only shows immaturity level of Rahul Gandhi who according to our PM is future of India.

At least admit it, Indira Gandhi had more balls than Vajpaye, Advani or Moraji Desai

Last year a few of our BSF Jawans were killed and Bangladeshi Armed Forces displayed the dead bodies (tied to wooden poles like bodies of animals) to the whole world on TV and Print Media. Where was your Goddess of renunciation and her puppet PM and other worthies from the ruling party at that time? Did they not notice that?
inspite of coming from good political stock, and from a family who are grandstanding 90% of the time , Rahul seems to have crossed the thin line dividing hamming-on-the-podium and what is known as the "george bush syndrome". even al gore had it. this entails speaking your heart out on topics that one knows nothing about.this entail having an eternal foot-in-the-mouth.for such sort of people a team of speech writers are necessary as otherwise they may spell doom for the political party they represent.
As usual, Gandhi family tried to make the public as fools. Since when rahul started learning about Indian culture, may be 15 to 17 years and how many times did he visit the country in the earlier days to know about the people and today what right does the Gandhi family got to say. Whatever we are today is not because of the good work by the gandhi family but because of the good work done by former PM Sri P.V. Narasimha Rao and not by Gandhi family. If Rahul opened the corruption box, he could get all the details of corruption that has taken during the congress rule, including the big one BOFORS. Go to the people after doing something good for the nation and not by giving speaches in public meetings.
It is strange that the son too acquired the dubious quality of 'Foot in Mouth' statements.
Bangladesh was simmering for separation since long.
In 1971 Yahya's pre-emptive attack on our territory and the millions of refugees influx into India left us no option than to take military action. India's Armed Forces achieved decisive victory which resulted in the entire Pak army surrender in Bangladesh. It is a fact that Bangladesh was liberated during the time when IG was the PM. But that does not mean that IG was the cause for Pak to break up. But the great IG lost all what the military gained in the battle field. She let the 98000 Pak POWs for nothing. The Simla Agreement was a fiasco which is still binding us in Kashmir In the same anomaly it was during the time of the father of I G that India lost more than half of Kashmir to Pakistan and again faced a miserable defeat against China losing large chunk of our land.. So Rahul's statement that all the good happened in India was due to the rule of N- G dynasty is totally contrary to reality. It is time Rahul Sonia (Gandhi) attends a regular school to learn about the recent history of India.- a history not written by sycophants.
Mr. Rahul Gandhi is good rising leader but this statement shows the un-maturity, instead of criticizing he must adopt the developmental approach. Our country need a leader who helps work for reducing corruption and brings transparency in the administration. Most of the leaders always throw the mud on each other, promoting castesism, and other wrong practices but is really sad to see that no body talk about development, reducing corruption and better future of India that%u2019s why the poor are becoming more poor and capitalist are becoming richer. Every body know that this country is not democratic, there is no Ram Rajya as per the Gandhi dream, this is the county of capitalists where only poor people being slapped. There is need of strict actions against corrupt leaders, officers, contractors, ministers, workers and others right from top to bottom level. The nature of procrastination and behavior of dealing general public as animal and insect in this country is really shameful, but the person who is being slapped is crying others are only acting as viewer, why the political leaders raise such issues? Why they not talk about increasing the power of youth, general public? Why the general publics wait to meet to a minister/ Officer? Why there are long line every where? Why the political leaders never raise these issues because they can not feel the pain by heart. We have the worst leaders who are criminals why Mr. Rahul Gandhi didn%u2019t raise such issues.

Our political parties are irresponsible. Mr Rahul is ill suited to handle the affairs of this large country. He has no experience and is prone to shoot his mouth off. It would be far better if we have a hereditory monarchy, at least one could look at the indescretions of the Prince. With irresponsible political parties we have a ruling dynasty that controls the destiny of this nation by backdoor means. Our Congress party is simply unable to come out of this mindset, bad still are the crowds that attend the rallies of these leaders and worse are the people who repose faith in them. When criminals, freebooters, thieves of all hues and crooks, frauds and other rascals get elected, then the addition of another irresponsible representative cannot sully our smirched international image any further. Our country has already attained the reputation of being the most corrupt, chaotic, ungoveranable and poverty stricken nation. Can we get any worse than this?

Well said ... Rahul is still green behind the ears, and has to study Indian History before he can act like one. I dont think neither he or his family will ever do that - they've better things to do ...
