by nikhilhaas on Apr 16, 2007 01:53 PM  Permalink

Around 8000 army soldiers died in 1971 war.The formation of B'desh was made on their died bodies. Will he take the responsibilty of the deaths of those soldiers who died in that war Some of the soldiers of in that war are still alive in Pakisthan Jails. They are in the Pakisthan Jails from past 36 years. Will he or his family do anything for them. There is no indian government took care of those soldiers who were caught in that war as pow's.So,whether Mr.Rahul and his family are not responsible for their state? Is his family not responsible for the Prisoners of war soldier families sorrow and trauma?

Mr. Singh said that Rahul is future of India.. that is because otherwise, he won't have been able to continue in office if he had not said that.. Anyone will like to remain in good books of Sonia.. truly, even now we are being ruled by a FOREIGNER, albeit indirectly.... SHAME on Indians who let Congress survive for so many years... Congressmen haye haye.. if anybody of you have guts (doubtful) you will disown what Rahul said..

It is better to keep your mouth shut and let others wonder whether you are a fool rather than open it and remove all the doubts.

Rahul's foolish statements
by Ram Sharma on Apr 16, 2007 01:52 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Saying that his family broke Pakistan, is a foolishness. Even Indira would not have said so. He is also showing his feudal mindset by trying to say that whatever good has happened to the country is because of his family and whatever bad has happened is because of others.

Why do you think India is still a 3rd world country? Because fools are leaders and they get voted because fools like us vote for them.

Rahul Gandi's statement regarding Pakistan
by Manoj Wagh on Apr 16, 2007 01:51 PM  Permalink

This is a real irresponsible and immature behaviour of a person who has been brought into Indian politics, but he should not be blamed much for this. Actually the major blame should go to the Congress party (its so called senior national leaders who have spent their lives and are still busy dancing to the tunes of the Gandhi family. They are so dependent on them as if there is no world for them without this family. They should do a thorough introspection and come out of this thiking. Many leaders are capable of delivering the best for this country, but they are getting suppressed due to this attitude). I hope they come out of this, so that there will not be any irresponsible statement henceforth.

Indira Gandhi's role
by George on Apr 16, 2007 01:49 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

On 27 March 1971, the Prime Minister of India, Indira Gandhi, expressed full support of her government to the Bangladeshi struggle for independence. The Bangladesh-India border was opened to allow the tortured and panic-stricken Bangladeshis safe shelter in India. The governments of West Bengal, Bihar, Assam, Meghalaya and Tripura established refugee camps along the border. Exiled Bangladeshi army officers and voluntary workers from India immediately started using these camps for the recruitment and training of Mukti Bahini guerrillas.

As the violence in East Pakistan escalated, an estimated 10 million refugees fled to India, causing financial hardship and instability in the country. The United States, a long and close ally of Pakistan, continued to ship arms and supplies to West Pakistan.

Indira Gandhi launched a diplomatic offensive in the early fall of 1971 touring Europe, and was successful in getting both the United Kingdom and France to break with the United States, and block any pro-Pakistan directives in the United Nations security council. Gandhi's greatest coup was on 9 August when she signed a twenty-year treaty of friendship and co-operation with the Soviet Union, greatly shocking the United States, and decreasing the possibility that the People's Republic of China would become involved in the conflict. China, an ally of Pakistan, had been providing moral support, but little military aid, and did not advance troops to its border with India.
If Indira Gandhi didn't separate Pakistan, then who did? Although it may not be ethically right to claim responsibility,it still remains a fact.

Mr. George...a child only gets name and fame of his parents in legacy and not their acumen and cerebral...so the child does not have the right to step into their parent's shoes on the basis of their name and fame...

ONE MUST BE ALWAYS CAREFUL WITH HIS WORDS. AND THIS UNWRITTEN RULE IS EVEN MORE RELEVANT IN POLITICS.

ALL THINGS SAID AND DONE, RAHUL GANDHI HAS SET A BAD PRECEDENT. HE MUST SEE FOR HIMSELF WHAT KIND OF REACTIONS HE IS GETTING FROM ALL QUARTERS (BARRING CONGRESS).

THIS SITE IS SURELY A GOOD SOURCE FOR SUCH FEEDBACK. RAHUL, ARE YOU LISTENING?
