INFACT FEROZ GANDHI A PARSI NOT MAHATMA GAANDHI(SEE THE DIFFERENCE IN SPELLING) GA AND GAA(MAHATMA'S) AN TRUE INDIAN WHERE GA A PARSI. THESE RAHUL AND CO BELONGS TO GA NOT GAA OF MAHATMA. EVEN THERE ARE ONLY RUMOURS SPREAD BY PSEUDO GANDHIS REG MAHATMA'S ADOPTATION BUT THERE IS NOTHING LIKE THAT TOOK PLACE ONLY MAHATMA CONVINCED NEHRU REG FEROZ AND INDIRA MARRIAGE AND AFTER MAHATMA'S SAD DEMISE AND DISINTEREST SHOWN BY MAHATMA'S OWN BLOOD RELATIVES WHO OPTED OUT OF POLITICS, CONGRESS USED THEM TOOMUCH. ASK THIS RAHUL IT IS FACT OR NOT. HE HAVE NO VOICE AT ALL.

SUPREME COURT MUST BAN ALL THESE FROM ACTIVE POLITICS AS THEY WERE PARSI FROM IRAN WHO RAN AWAY TO INDIA FOR SURVIVALENCE.

THIS IS A FACT HIDDEN AND ALL THE NATION MUST KNOW THAT.

Mr. Rahul Gandhi,
please don't jeopardise India's position in world politics by making such far-fetched and irresponsible comments in the heat of elections. This guy seems to be a total disappointment. It's good though, it will help India to get rid of Nehru-Gandhi dynasty.

This family has always been dividing India by dirty politics (how they ousted Netajai Bose), dividing India by castes (no need to give any explanation), dividing india by language (states by langauages are due to them), dividing India by religion (no need to give any explanation) dividing India by religion (Hindu India and Muslim Pakistan). They have never understood multiplication.

Whatever Rahul said was for the consumption of genral public in election mode. be aware he is not a office bearer of government of India.
Entire world is aware of India's role in creating Bangladesh and due credit shoul go to Late Indira Gandhi who was the lady with courage and initiated a diplomatic offensive in the early fall of 1971 touring Europe, unlike Bajpeyye who created hype and spend 3000 crores without getting any benefit - weakening of pakistan.

If Indira Gandhi didn't separate Pakistan, then who did? Although it may not be ethically right to claim responsibility,it still remains a fact.

Indira Gandhi launched a diplomatic offensive in the early fall of 1971 touring Europe, and was successful in getting both the United Kingdom and France to break with the United States, and block any pro-Pakistan directives in the United Nations security council. Gandhi's greatest coup was on 9 August when she signed a twenty-year treaty of friendship and co-operation with the Soviet Union, greatly shocking the United States, and decreasing the possibility that the People's Republic of China would become involved in the conflict. China, an ally of Pakistan, had been providing moral support, but little military aid, and did not advance troops to its border with India.

My dear sir, you don't get what you want. Do we want Sonia and her children to be involved in Indian politics at all?

My answer like many others is NO. But then, did this wish come true?

The Bottom Line
by Raj Kumar on Apr 16, 2007 01:56 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

I recall a smiling Arun Jaitly washing away multiple provocative statements after sweeping the Gujarat Assembly with something to the effect that the statements made were not intent but part of the impact strategy.

So what are the rules:
- Go for impact
- Let the small print protect you
- No need to be academic.

And the small print does say that India was requested to intercede and had to or be inundated by refugees.

So what Mr. Rahul Gandhi has come up with is a strategic success and it did require courage to make the move and he is holding up against the pressure.

Another small fact: We interceeded because we were attacked. It took an Indira Gandhi to stand up to the presence of the seventh fleet in the Bay Of Bengal. What were they doing there?

Indira Gandhi's role
by George on Apr 16, 2007 01:55 PM  Permalink

On 27 March 1971, the Prime Minister of India, Indira Gandhi, expressed full support of her government to the Bangladeshi struggle for independence. The Bangladesh-India border was opened to allow the tortured and panic-stricken Bangladeshis safe shelter in India. The governments of West Bengal, Bihar, Assam, Meghalaya and Tripura established refugee camps along the border. Exiled Bangladeshi army officers and voluntary workers from India immediately started using these camps for the recruitment and training of Mukti Bahini guerrillas.

As the violence in East Pakistan escalated, an estimated 10 million refugees fled to India, causing financial hardship and instability in the country. The United States, a long and close ally of Pakistan, continued to ship arms and supplies to West Pakistan.

If Indira Gandhi didn't separate Pakistan, then who did? Although it may not be ethically right to claim responsibility,it still remains a fact.
