Is he a leader the congress is looking for?
by maruti t on Apr 16, 2007 02:07 PM  Permalink

The statement given by Rahul shows his immatutiry and it also shows the arrogance he has .he believs it is his family that fought all the indo-pak battles .He should remember the sacrifice of all indian soliders.
Is this the leader congress wants to make its priministerial candidate?
How can a national party like congress survive under the leadership of such a ireesponsible leader?

What worth does he have to speak
by Jatin B on Apr 16, 2007 02:06 PM  Permalink

Somewhere in the corner Rahul Gandhi has forgotten that he should know his personal worth. he should just stop harping about his Gandhi heritage and tell something about things he has done, I am not even sure if he finished his graduation, he did most of his education abroad and has no clue about Gandhism or Indian culture, he should retire from politics and settle down in Italy with his mother. He should remember the hard work done by Mahatma Gandhi to remove caste creed etc.. he is trying to get this back by saying words like he is a Gandhi so he is good, thats totally bullshit, he should remember he is a half gandhi and half Italian, and his father was a half Nehru and half Parsi.

very stupid statement
by Zonda on Apr 16, 2007 02:06 PM  Permalink

Rahul Gandhi is not mature enough to handle the reins onf international or even national politics. I think better he should read out written speaches insted of extempore. Congress should project other young leaders as well like Sindhiya instead of just Rahul. Rahul is just a non-sense.

Evil family
by Rupesh on Apr 16, 2007 02:05 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

The entire Congress is an evil family.

Congress has divided India first on the basis of religion. Then they divided Pakistan. Now they are again dividing India on the basis of caste( dat Arjun singh is d proof ) and religion ( in every election ).

Congress is the nonsecular party wearing a secular mask.

Rahul Gandhi - Stop these nonsense statements
by dipak talekar on Apr 16, 2007 02:05 PM  Permalink

Why to discuss on past ? It's gone. See forward. Do some good work/improvements. Come out of castism. Remove castism. No cast should be there on identity card of anybody. Just Indian. Do work for poor people. If you want to differentiate, then differentiate on economic condition. Till the time ,these dirty politicians don't do this, we are towards making India a real hell on earth.

Rahul with Reference to Remarks on Pakistan
by Arun Tripathi on Apr 16, 2007 02:04 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

At end of the day, the fact remains that Indira had done great service to the nation by facilitating creation of Bangladesh (obviously by breaking Pakistan). It may be recalled that Pakistan had extensively bombarded the eastern part using its resources in East Pakistan, as a result we always had to divide our forces on two fronts. As such strategically, division of Pakistan was in our interest, may be some leaders in BJP and SP including those in Left Front may not agree to this fact. And I do not find any wrong in taking credit for the same. Please recall that NDA government always felt pride in celebrating Vijay Diwas for flushing out militants(or rather facilitating safe withdrawal under US pressure). However, Rahul while claiming credit to this should have kept diplomatic norms in mind and could have made a better choice in selection of words to express his views. Nevertheless, having said that once, he should stick to it, after all he did not say any thing wrong. Rahul is very much young, such mistakes have been made by most experienced people like AB Vajpayee while naming China as its Principal Enemy in a top secret letter to then US Pez Clinton. Similar mistake was committed by George Fernandez when he expressed same statement about China. Rahul's remarks should be seen in the context in which they have been made and there is no reason to blow this issue out of proportion, but you cannot help bjp leaders like javedkar etc who have no other work except finding faults in congress leaders. They do not find any thing wrong with Sanjay Joshi, Rahul Mahajan etc. It's pity that every thing is viewed with the political spectles on.

Political statements are always viewed with political spectacles. Is the drug abuse case of Mahajan a political act? The fault lies with you that you are viewing it with your political spectacles.

I agree with you Mr. Lagidu and would like to ask Tripathi ji who is the real enemy of India, the answer is Congress, dividing us on the basis of cast & religion. They have their Government in the Centre, what good did they do to the people? Reservation, inflation this is what they have given. Shame on Congress and Arjun Singh.
