1. China occupies Indian territory and 20% of Kashmir and claims part of Arunachal Pradesh 2. Not settled borders till date 3. Coninuosly props up Pakistan against India to keep it checked 4. Competes with India in oil resources everywhere 5. Had occupied Tibet and threatened Taiwan and not confortable with Japan 6. Wants blue navy access to Indian ocean through Gawadar 7. Has outposts in Myanmar to check India missile tests.............
The list can go on............
Simply put China is a perrenial threat to India which has done everything in its power against Indian interests.
This joint exercises are just unnecessary and foolish.
Can anybody say one good thing about these chineses which is helpful/supportive or at least not against India?????????
VERY BAD Idea Like every other Idea this Congress Appeasement riddled Govt comes up with. Give away battle strategies, capabilities, acoustic signatures of navel vessels...
It is beneficial for both India and China. I personally think that China will benefit more from such a joint exercise. But it shouldn't mean that we ditch the project, because it is beneficial for us as well.
This is an excellent opportunity to build military relationship with the great Chinese people, besides strong economic and social relations. Each country can learn a lot from the other. Another area to improve further is the exchange of people- professors, scientists, economists, doctors, students etc. The growth of Business Schools in India offering MBA and Doctoral programs is indeed laudable. May be we can do something in this area also. Let us not forget: China has earned a large number of Nobel Prizes and World Olympic Gold Medals in the last 50 years than India. We boast we are the largest democracy in the world; but forget to add that we are also the most corrupt democracy.

Very easily you have been blinded by the Chinese media blitzkrieg. Let us not be swayed by few achievements here and there. What matters most is whether the country has improved the living conditions of its people or not. In my opinion they only showcase Beijing Shanghai et al but forget about the rural areas, the unsafe coal mines, environmental loss, fast ageing nation. And yes the corruption in Chinese banks is so high that the World Bankd shivers if it were to explode.
Now a days, the wars are not for occupying anybody!s land, it is for maintaining supremacy and economicals advantages.As such it is good opportunity to know better technology and techniques.
