Murthy has done a mistake, His statement that the foreigners will be embarrassed shows the mentality of Indians who always try to please the foreigners at the cost of self respect and pride. The whole world is looking with respect towards india. we dont have to feel we are inferior and try pleasing others. This guy may be acting like a businessman trying to please his customers. He may be a phenomenon but there are lot of people who are following him. Tomorrow all the companies may ban singing national anthem or asking employees not to wear indian clothes, not to eat indian food and so on to please the foreigners saying they will be embarrassed. There are thousands of indians working in some foreign countries do they give any damn about our embarrassments..? we should be proud of our selfs and show respect to our national symbols. If we dont respect our selfs how come others respect us. I am sure the foreigners in infosys are laughing at our inferior and slave mentality.

Murthy is absolutely right. Even in Olympics, they play instrumental versions of hundreds of nations including the G-7 economic super-powers. The politicians are just trying to get some political mileage from this.
The Instumental National Anthem is just the same as the vocal one. Moreover, Murthy is a person who deserves a lot of respect for what he did for improving India's economy ! He is a real patriot, unlike other fools who sing the anthem and then do nothing for the country. Lets accept sagacious advice from Narayanmurthy.
Let us all accept this that Murthy has been a phenomenon in IT industry, a larger then life figure for IT industry. Creator of thousands of job and someone who immensely contributed to Indian being present day IT leader (sort of%u2026) But then is he larger than country? Is he greater than The President of India? Well my contribution is nothing I am nobody but I feel ashamed that a fellow country man is hesitant to sing his national anthem (when The President of India was reciting the same) because some one will be embarrassed (that too when in India). I guess the foreign national can just stand and not sing, no one will mind that. Because he is a successful man (no doubt he worked hard) his patriotism can not be greater than me or any one else. In my view, this is capitalism at its best.
Murthy was kind of instrumental briging confidence on Indian IT industry and role model to many entruprenurs.
I think he made one mistake then all of this socalled politicians trying to procicute him.
He is better than a politican who does 100 wrongdoings and 1 good things. when he did one wrong thing people forgot his contribution to state and country.
He has done good work to state and our country by providing jobs, more than that confidence to lot of indin youth that they can do it.

Actually he wasn't. More of British stooge than a patriot. Helped them in dividing India.
You should thank Hitler for our freedom. Had it not been for WW2 the limeys would still be ruling us.
It is strange that cases are registerd against people who have brought honour to the country by people who we have never heard of & act on behest of some crooked politician wishes to settle scores with him.Courts/Police shouls exercise restrain before accepting complaints agaist those who are serving the nation with utmost honesty & integrity. The Prsident himself approved him as his replacement & what more can be the proof of his credentials?

Its not about nationalism Its all about respecting our national anthem in front of fellow foreigners. Have you ever heard of any American feeling embarassed singing his national song in front of people from other countries? Thatz y they are still no. 1, its no doubt that one day India will be no. 1, but we indians just beacuse of these people will not at all be respected. Shame on Murthy, we are really sorry on your mentality. Thats the bad luck of India, to have people like you as their nationals who feel embarrased in singing national anthem in group of people from other countries.

You should feel proud to singing it.. Infront of foreigners... coze we respect oru country...
It is quite surprising that foreigners would be embarassed to hear our national anthem. It is a normal tradition that every person respects the national anthem of a particular nation when he attends a function in that nation. No country is above any other country in so far as national pride is concerned. It is unfortunate that a reputed person like Mr.Murthy is trying to defend his action.Since it may the first time , it is better for the state Govt. not to press anymore on any legal actions or follow the statements of few irrelevant persons who only incite hatred for their own hidden agenda.
