I think making a comment is ok. The problem is with the Indian mentality of regarding certain people as saints. His him was to make money through currency differences and he succeeded in doing that, but that doesn't make him a saint.

The way you are treating this msg as abuse. THIS IS CLEAR INDICATION THAT LAWS ARE DIFFRENT FOR DIFFRENT PEOPLE AS I HEARD ABOUT LATEST VERDICT ON MAN KILLING 7 LABOURS GETS 6 MONTHS ONLY??? AND SANJAY DUTT WAS GIVEN LOT AND LOT CHANCES TO ESCAPE?? WHY? Yes you are correct .This man must be punished and must get punishment as commonman gets as laws are diffrent in India for Rich and poor
Murthy is no saint. He is a guy whose only dream was to make money by servicing foreign companies and become rich due to currency differences. And he achieved this through hard work and dedication. Still he is no saint.

Then why make fuss over what he says !!! Then why do people listen to him ? Why can't they just leave him alone. Remember he had made 72,000 employees, their families and all other people indirectly working for them rich which is no mean task ! I am sure even you work hard w/ dedication. How much employment have you generated legally and ethically ?

Yes I agree he has created a lot of coolie jobs in India. And as you said he has made those coolies rich, but keep in mind that this has only further widened the gap between the rich and the poor. There is very little real development happening in India. But yes we can boast of the so many coolies that India produces today.

Remember he had made 72,000 employees - yeah.. what will happen to these employees when doing business with brazil will become cheaper than india. why do people listen to him ? - its only people like you listen to him. you do NOT understand outsourcing. How much employment have you generated legally and ethically ? - do not just throw questions. there are many indian companies who come up with their own creative products and services. they are the ones who will survive through the storm. i can give you the names... but pls do some research.. and ask yourself that question.

1. When Brazil becomes cheaper than India then we will outsource work to Brazil. Remember most of the Indian companies are on a global acquisition spree and more or less become MNCs. So we would have gone beyond the tag of service industry and graduated to end-to-end service provider which I am sure will take Brazil or any other Low Cost country time to catch up
2. Wrong answer, it is some people like you who don't listen to him. Most of the other people do. That includes the who-is-who of this country and abroad. I am not sure if you figure in that list !
3. I do not understand outsourcing ! Well, not interested. We were just talking about the person who does.
4. Not interested in doing research either. The point I was trying to drive was folks who are trying to point fingers don't know what it means to give hope to n families out there who dream of having the best education and all the good things in life all thanks to the revolution this man had set in motion. "Think Big". So atleast give credit to that and stop calling him anti-national.

Even highly respected people like Prof. CNR Rao feel that the coolie culture has actually harmed India.
I don't think any sane foriegner will get embarrassed by any other country's national anthem.It just goes to show servility and idiotic thinking of so called genius Mr Narayanmurthy.Its a shame that our country has industry leaders like him.

You are correct about our other breed of leaders i.e the politicians.Expecting something good from them is a fallacy and wishful thinking.What really hurts is when an educated person makes comments like this.
Friends,!!! we are just discussing a very petty issue, take the example of asian games, when a player gets a gold medal or silver or bronze they play the instrumental National anthem of the respective country...and we have held Asian games long back.. so then it was not an issue.. Mr.Naryan murthy..your correct in every sense..but this Media..they just laid a trap to you..by asking that question..more over Gowda..is waiting to get another political mileage out of this....We are there for you..

The point here is not playing the instrumental version of national anthem, but the comment made by Narayana Murthy. Why would he think foreigners will be embarrassed by hearing the National Anthem of a great country like India. And they would definitely know that Indians dont have English as their National Language. He should justify his statement otherwise.

I 100% agree with you. This Murthy is selling our nation. In one other occasion, when we had bangalore Bundh, Infosys, so called Kanandigas CEO, had it working, with doors closed. The reasoning, he could not affend his US and other foreign collaborators.

The issue is not playing the instrumental version of the National Anthem. It is about Narayanmurthy telling that his clients will be offended because of it. It is childish to think that anyone will be offended.
Narayanmurthy is just an opportunist who has used the low paid indian work force to his advantage. He is no great leader. We will realize this when the playing fields even out.
He has to stop complaining about politics and politicians.. because he has done nothing different from them.

My Murthy please come to Madras moving the remaining of Infy , karnatakas only pride. Vatal Nagaraj doesnt reailse that it was you who put the state in the world map. Being associated with a world race like tamil will give you more pride. Comments welcome :)

N'murthy - you go to Madras and Karunanidhi will hit you with his 69% reservation policy and that will be it.
Ever formed a company and tried to create signifcant wealth for atleast 100 people, forget thousands and lacs of share-holders. I don't work for Infosys, nor own Infy stocks but had discussions with friends saying NRN's ultimate objective would be to become President of the nation. The intent of him not allowing something may be totally different; Prof. Nash (Nobel Prize) winner asked people not to put US flags around his house "I won the Nobel as many may have thought I would; that does not make me a patriot so please do not plant flags in my backyard to show that I have done something which will make this nation elevate" - No case was registered against him...Would be very stupid to demean such great personalities, wouldn't it?

Narayan murthy has spearheaded a company which generates more than 1B dollars in revenue, employes more than 50K indians. A person who is responsible for creating so many jobs and supplying bread and butter in so many families, deserves some respect.

All, I guess we are blowing this out of proportion. What big deal if they played the instrumental version? They played our national Anthem after all. I guess if we focus on some bigger issues, our country will progress much better. I will never support Narain Murthy for president, but I guess he is serving the country much better than us by getting all the revenue, generating employment etc. Also, he is not acting like Abhsihek in Guru movie, i mean illegal use of politicians etc. I hope all this dies down soon
