It is very easy for u to say that their parents were careless. Sir, i belong to that family and i know the truth. there weren't only friends present, but the whole family, and the drowned people includes my aunts, cousins and a friend.

The biggest problem is we have learned to live with it.... seems we have resigned to fate..

Wish people could feel the pain...!!

This is the problem in India. Without proper barricades or life guards, administration should not allow anybody to play around rivers beaches. Sad to see such news.

The Yamuna runs for thousands of miles, and on its bank, which could be any where, the kidsplayed and drowned.
So where are you going to place the gaurds?I know in the US, the life gaurds are palced in Public designated areas, but the entire Yamuna bank runs into thousands of miles, where people of a populas land play and live.Logistically its impossible in India!
The mantra in India for 100s of years has been, LOOK OUT FOR YOURSELF!!!Unfortunately, it still runs true due to our huge population.
