no withdrawal without end to jihad
by rishi on Apr 10, 2007 10:07 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

No withdrawal is plausable without a complete end to Jihad and safe return and resTitution of Hindus of Kashmir along with removal of Article 370.

An exhibition showing the sad history of Kashmir and Jihad's effect on it is available at

http://www.factusa.org/totalexhibit/exhibition.asp

It was shown at the US Capitol in 2005

Anayat:
why are u not talking of Poonch?
it is the same Hizbul and Lashkar that operates in Poonch, Doda that operates in Baramulla or Srinagar.

Who are you trying to fool?
How many Kashmiri Pundits live in Srinagar?

Do you remember Lassa Kaul and Tikalal Taploo...
or the thousands of Pundits who stayed back and got killed.

Kashmir versus India versus Pakistan
by Anusha R on Apr 10, 2007 10:03 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

a simple question.. what did India gain during the last 60 years of tussle with Pakistan (and Kashmiris) to retain Kashmir with India? Have we still have the full title and ownership of Kashir? Is Kashmiris accepts India as their country or they want Kashmir a seperate nation for them? Is Pakistan could make any difference by claiming Kashmir? We have been spending billions of rupees sacrificing thousands of Jawans and civilians over the years by claiming ownership of Kashmir and by way of peacekeeping... Were we able to protect the Kashmiris as a whole? were we able to seal our borders from infilteration? were we able to succeed in out attempt to fight terrorists/terrorism in J&K? then why are we making such a hue and cry of this peace of land...if none of the government in the past 60 years could come out with a clean and sincere effort to save kashmir and make India acceptable to them as well as the world... how long are we going to continue with this political agendas to retain power in the centre by these unscrupulous political menace? EITHER TAKE IT (with FORCE if required) or LEAVE IT.. let people live peacefully...

Miss Anusha, you got good thinking, but half knowledge is very bad...let me tell you the reason for India not leaving kashmir alone...Kashmiri pandits being filterated for Kashmir is one reason...another reason is the strategic interests India has in Kashmir...all the rivers flowing into India and pakistan originate from himalayas in kashmir...Moreover Pakistan is not made of holy saints who are supporting for the cause of Kashmir...they too have got strategic interests(importantly water)...so when you talk India is spending lot of money for retaining Kashmir....there are serveral political, ethnic and strategic interests...people say there is nothing in siachin why is Indian army stationed there...again it has got strategic interests...the position where Indian army is stationed falls between the positions occupied by Pakistan army and chinese army....hence for militarily strategic reasons its very importantIndian army has to be stationed there...hence request you to pls gain enough knowledge then put comments...

Troops withdrawl from Kashmir
by Rajinder Katoch on Apr 10, 2007 09:59 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Congress created J&K problem. Nehru ordered troops to descend down in 1947-48 and now again Congress in order to save its muslim vote bank in J&K and in rest of the country. This is what Nehru said to India on AIR on Nov 2, 1947.

"We have decided to accept this accession and to send troops by air, but we made a 'condition that
the accession would have to be considered by the people of Kashmir later when peace and order
were established. We were anxious not to finalise anything in a moment of crisis, and without the
fullest opportunity to the people of Kashmir to have their say. It was for them ultimately to decide.

"And here let me make clear that it has been our policy all along that where there is a dispute about
the accession of a State to either Dominion, the decision must be made by the people of the State. It was in accordance with this policy that we added a proviso to the Instrument of Accession of
Kashmir.

"We have declared that the fate of Kashmir is ultimately to be decided by the people. That pledge
we have given, and the Maharaja has supported it not only to the people of Kashmir but the world.
We will not, and cannot back out of it. We are prepared when peace and law and order have been
established to have a referendum held under international auspices like the United Nations. We want it to be a fair and just reference to the people, and we shall accept their verdict. I can imagine no fairer and juster offer."
------------------
These stupid congressmen then continue sending money and progress packages to Kashmir. India without Congress has some future.

Rajinder Katoch

troops
by shamim meraj on Apr 10, 2007 09:53 AM  Permalink

well just to clear the air, there is no QUESTION of pulling out troops from kashmir. its a worng perception. What it actually means is relocating the army from areas which have witnessed low intesnity over the past few years. And clearing the orchards anbd schools so that people could get on with their lives.Army is amde for war not in the times of peace, while they are good at fighting, preserving law and order is a diff game. even now JKP and CRPF are entirely conducting opeartions by themselves without Armys help. so whats wrong if Army gradually goes to barracks, BUT I REPEAT THEY CANNOT PULLOUT FROM KASHMIR, just relocate and wait unless called for, Army is a combat force, why burden them with law and order.

A simple suggestion!
by Raj Sachdev on Apr 10, 2007 09:50 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

I always wonder that when our country is so much sound in all the forces compared to those terrorists and Pakistan, can't we send our troops to swipe out all terrorists from PoK. I mean we have a treaty that we won't attack or invade land of any other country but we can atleast carry out flush off in our region and I am sure that only IAF will be enough to wash out everything from Pok within couple of days.

Anyhow our defence budget is almost half of the total budget, and where we use it? To buy MiG's? I don't think GDP will be affected that much. And again a suggestion, deploy all Mig's around PoK. Thiw will help us a lot. Terrorists will run away coz every other day they'll be having a MiG fighter, bombarded on them :)

I dont think we need to wait for any one over here and we have enough sources to do that. If US will be invited to do that then they'll help us removing the mess but then as Iraq and Afghanistan, they'll make PoK as their permanent base, What u say?
