Mr. Murthy is a man of action which has led to the emergence of INFOSYS.What will he do as a Predident which is only a ceremonial post in India? The position has no real powers and will not do justice to a man like Murthy.
Doesn't make difference. With due apologies to Kalam, inspite of tremendous goodwill, what have been the achivements of Kalam. Even NRN comes in, he will make some good sound bites like emphasis on rural and blah blah. Look at NRN stint Bangalaore International Airport. As soon as some one questioned, he chose first option resigning and shedding crocodile tears. What we need is some one with firm convictions and do something diffrent instead of pseudo intellectuals. Manmohan Singh was eminent economist and see Price rise. Housing has become dream for common man. We dont need Glib talkers.
I think medha patkar or Bahuguna are the people who should be president as they can can think about aam admi and garibhi and irresponsible globalisation. What better idea can be their than these who are true followers of gandhian ideals.
Remember the Office of Profit Bill he signed mutely. One of the Biggest Shame of Indian Parliament. The power hungry politicians of Congress and Left ganged up, they were not ready to forego their chairs of power and money. They shed all ideolagical pretence and sent the bill a second time to Mr. Kalam and he signed !! Sonia Gandhi shamelessly took her office of profits after resigning and again getting reelcted as MP!!!
But Murthy could be different, but even he is not a 'Sheshan'
And Murthy has vast business interests, the politicians will be able to blackmail him.

IF YOU DON'T HAVE ANY ABOUT PRESIDENT'S ROLE THEN DONT WRITE OR SPEAK. THE PRESIDENT OF INDIA HAS NOT POWER, HE IS JUST A PUPPET OF THESE INTELLIGENT POLITICIANS. HE HAS TO SIGN ANY BILL WHETHER HE LIKES IT OR NOT.SHESHAN, MURTHY OR ANYONE WHO WILL HOLD THIS POST HAVE TO SIGN ANY BILL.
