The post of Indian presedent is merely a decorative one, without any overriding powers, he has to sign any lagislation recommended by the Cabinet..hence it hardly makes any difference Murthy Or Kalam..for that matter why not RAJNIKANTH????????
When Dr.Kalam became the President, he was a leader of national standing and already a Bharat Ratna awardee. He sacrificed his personal comforts for our nation. Therefore, the nation accepted him. Though the Chief Mentor of Infosys can make a good President, still we should not encourage the trend of making working professionals as Presidents. Presidency is about diplomacy, not just being at the helm and enjoying some limelight. Its neither that anyone with good application knowledge could run for President. Whom we are looking for is a well-groomed diplomat and not a specialist in a particular field.

NM is the one of the finest managers. He would surely bring in processes that would set India( or any country for that matter) on a fast and streamlined path to achieve "Developed Nation" Tag.
Although Kalam is a great man. A Great human being.But Narayan Murthy would be a strong man. Able to put the politicians in their place.I think the politicians will not agree to NM's name.They'll shit in their pants if he became President.
Naryana murthy cannot be treated as rubber stamp as the post of president is rubber stamp,he has been a decision maker ,he will sucide himself if he is going for this post which has gold coverage but end effect not a value of shit

Kalam has stood between Sonia and Primeminister ship. Also he questioned several of UPA's decisions. I dont think Congress would support even more stricter person like NRN for president. It will not dig its own grave. Come guys! Understand our politicians!
Mr.Kalam has made the right choice, as he is a man with a vision. And he knows that Mr. Narayan Murthy has got all the capabilities, which our current president had envisioned.
