Not All All
by on May 11, 2007 02:30 PM  Permalink

Narayan Murty, not at all, how can a person who does not give respect to our national anthem can be made a President of the country ????
He has made Infosys a top IT company, it does not means he can also do the same with Our country !!!
Company is his own business but managing a country not as similar as business,
moreover how can we forget the time when he resigned from a post only because of being picked apart,
it seems that he can not tolerate criticism, while being a President one has to bear with it...

Narayana Murthy
by madhavakannan m on May 07, 2007 02:16 PM  Permalink

he has handled a company! can he do that with a whole country?

his company is his own kingdom! here he wil have to rub shoulders will political leaders, the entire range of our fellow indians.... etc etc

will he be able to bear the brunt?

because, he is a person who threw away a responsibility in BIAL, Bangalore when Mr.Gowda made some remarks against him! is his patience level enough to handle a nation?

i doubt it!

whereas, give him a strong position in a Technical / Educational category in our Govt. he wil do miracles.... but not as a President!

Certainly not Mr. Narayan Murthy

Mr. Narayan Murthy doesnt know to respect our National Anthem. He is more worried what foriegners will think than Indians. Infosys takes only foriegn interns and not Indian interns. And you want to make such a man the president?

who else ?
by Sunil Kumar on May 07, 2007 12:57 AM  Permalink

if the mahatma were alive today, he would not have been covered by the media or allowed to speak his mind on anything under the sun, because he has not created any wealth nor employment. those with high net worth are ofcourse different they give employment to so many, that he can speak on anything under the sun, from urban issues to poverty to governance to education. we must emulate him, when he says that he is ashamed of singing the national anthem in front of his foreign associates and foreigner employees. how does it matter that thousands of indians laid down their lives and happily faced the bullets of our colonial masters and defied them to sing vande mataram/ sare jahan se acchha/ or even jana gana mana.

We have given governance on the platter to crooks!
by Sanjay Kumar on May 06, 2007 08:02 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

The biggest problem facing us is criminalization of Indian polity and the nexus between corrupt politicians, contractors, bureaucrats and of course criminals. Honest educated people remain away from politics which has become the first and last refuge of certified scoundrels. Thus, governance falls automatically into the lap of this unholy nexus. To break this is the foremost need of India. Induction of honest people like Narayana Murthy with impeccable record and tons of honesty is very welcome...if only the scoundrels would allow it....although one whould not expect wonders from him as he doesn't replace the parliament full of corrupt men and women...However, even any marginal change is always welcome!

JOB OF PREZ. OF INDIA
by rajeev madaan on Apr 30, 2007 11:51 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

I agree with our prez. Dr.Kalam that Mr. Narayan Murthy fits in to be the next president ideally. My point of cocurrence lies in that if Infosys can be made 'No.1' under the able guidance of Mr.Narayan Murthy , then why can't India also be 'No.1'.
I strongly believe that by bringing Mr. Narayan as next prez. of India, we all would be doing justice with ourselves.
Dr. kalam has also given our country a very proud & a highly uplifted ambience around the world..

RE:JOB OF PREZ. OF INDIA

But dear, in our country the President has no role to play but merely act as an idol President. It doesn't have that much power according to our constitution and and is not alike the President of the United States who enjoys the fullest power in their homeland regarding any affair. It is quite apparent that the major part of our constitution is based on the theory of British & Irish Constitution and the core essence has been very well copied blindly. So, whether Dr. Kalam supports Mr. Narayana Murthy for becoming the next President or not, it really hardly matters. Spending so much of money behind a puppet President doesn't lead us anywhere but only protuberates a significant burden on the shoulders of the poor & hapless people of our country. The post of the President should be immediately abolished and the money incurred behind it should be put to the cause of our citizens.
I have expressed only my views. If it infringes with the opinion of others pls excuse me....
Thanks....
