Obsolutely! He did nothing for the country. May be he was successfuly in leading Infosys to great heights. That doesn't mean he can be a best choice. A presidential candidate should take common views in important issues. But he was against reservation, because of only one thing. Caste

Point 1.Narayana Murthy became rich because there was a boom in the software industry based in US. If it was not there.....? Point 2.Kalam is great on his own. Point 3. Can Narayana muthry consider every Indian same? He is biased against recruiting low caste people in his infosys. Point 4. He quit some post to become president of India, Now throwing money for that!!

A person with proven Quality,credibility ,Honest,non-Political,vision for present & future,Original Ideas,respect from all quarters,Love for the motherland ,committed for the progress of India should be appointed President of India .The choice shouldnot be imposed on a person.I think Narayan Murthy has all the qualities to qulify for the job.Look where Infosys stands & we Indians are proud of its achievement.But I doubt the intentions of some quarters who will do all possible efforts to hijack this issue and make mockery of the coveted & respected Post by imposing a rubber stamp president and People of this great nation will regret.Its my personal request to all fellow citizens to do all possible efforts that an Ideal candidate gets the coveted post and we Indians must feel proud just like the case of Present President A.P.J Sir

I think you forget to add the scietific temper in one of the qualities.Yes we support his viewpoint
Mr Narayan Murthy has been a trend setter, a successful businessman and his stocks today dictate the Sensex and Nifty. But does that really mean that he would be great as the President.
The President of India should be a statesman...well versed in Indian politics and a man of eminence, not necessarily eminence commanded by wealth and business success. If successful business persons and film actors are good for Presidentship, the JRD Tata should have qualified long ago. There is no one who comes closer to him, even today.
I feel its all a trumpeted Public Relations exercise with PR Companies busy posting these kind of news items on the net, television and newspaper.
Why dont we have someone who has worked with people at grass roots level. Someone whom Bharat can identify...Mr Narayan Murthy symbolises India, and thereby lies the danger. Has Bharat lost all significance.
Narayana Murthy is the right choice as the Prime Minister of the country, not as PResident. 5 years of Narayana Murthy as PM of this country, will be great. He should be vested with governance side of the democracy with the political side to be taken care of by experts and pseudo experts of which we have aplenty. He should enjoy the support of all the political parties and should be given untramelled mandate to take this country to the next level of development.
