this government doesnot even have the confidence of the majority indians. obviously this prime minister is lacking control, creativity and agreesiveness. his statement to CJI clearly is the stupidest thing.
our politicians/army should not reduce the troops without any foresight, they should follow the israel style of shadow security in all the terror affected states with cctv's in all the sensitive areas and with invisible force.
we need to trust these kashmiri politicians only when they can walk in the streets of kashmir without any bodygaurds. as a matter of fact this applies to any politician.
Normalization in J&K is a fake assurance given by former CM Mufti Mohd Sayeed. One should not believe this. one can only believe it when Kashmiri pandits are brought back in the valley and settled again with pride and respect. No govt of talking about the settlement of KPs, who are badly languishing in camps or single room tenaments. Request that J&K Govt should come out with some concrete plans to settle the KPs.

Fact is that now KP's do not want to return to valley. Life has moved on since 1987 when we have left valley. Many KPs are living a very good and respectable life outside valley becuase they worked hard and faced the reality. This demand is useless. And biggest reason why KPs can not return is because Army and other paramilitary forces are occupying their houses. They are getting a handsome rent against that occupation. Just get the extra forces out of valley and than I will see how many KPs will go back to valley.

All of those yelling support for Army to stay in the valley should undertsand that Army is for external aggression and not to contain internal militancy. Prolonged use of Army in CI Ops adversely affects the moral an dtraining of the troops. More than half of the army is stationed either in J&K or NE states to contain internal disturbance. Punjab is a very good example for us. It was state police and Political setup which eventualy up rooted the militancy.I suggest that Indian Army should be maintained in adequate strength in J&K but should be withdrawn from Internal security duties. We do not want another Kargil but we do not want another Blue Star either. J&K problem is a political one and should be resolved through that only.
Moreover if you observe corruption level in indian Army is all time all high whereas it was considered compatritively clean organisation. Fake encounters,rapes,extortion,gun running, drugs, AIDS, etc all are creeping inside Army.
May be Army officials are more concerened with their promotions and citations as they will not get all these very easily in peace situations.
Moreover Indian Army is facing serious war attrition in absense of war. These CI ops are seriously depleting their teeths against external aggression becasue of lack of training, desolation from family for longer period, constantly living in pressure cooker situation............... AND this is what Pakistan wants. They want to us blled to death with thousand cuts. And they are quite successful in that so far. We expected them to take revenge of Bangladesh in same manner but they intelligently laid this trap and we are slowly getting entrapped in that. And Kargil happened becasue Army's total concentraion was to fight militancy and not external threats. They just forgot the basic for what a National Army is for. Kargil could be a BETA test by Pakistan to check alertness of Indian Army and our Army made them pass that test with 100% marks.
Make state police strong, employ paramilitary forces if required, take social and economic development seriously, empower the citizens...but please take out army from CI Ops. Yes!! let Army just guard the borders to thwart infiltration or another Kargil. Let them have some rest and than training. They have done their job and now its for police to take charge.
This is a cheap trick same used by Ulfa in assam in 2003 Ulfa was redused to minmum and brought to knees then again congress govt reduced army presence then every thing stated again in Assam and reached peak in 2006
This politicain never know the value of army blood will fall easy prey for this trick

Sitting there in secure state/city away from the ground realities you should not talk like this non-sense. Who is killing hindus???? From where you heard this??? Its easy talking like this in your living room. Never have anyone killed any hindu. Its infact reverse, in all these years its that more muslims have been killed. And that too without any reason by the Indian army and also by the militants. To commit a genocide in Kashmir Govt of India pulled out all the hindus (Kashmiri Pandits) from there. To Indi Hindi. It is true that for a long time now, terrorists in J & K have not indiscriminately not killed civilians. But there is no denying the fact that they have killed many innocent Hindus and Sikhs. That is the reason so many Hindu & Sikh refugees are staying outside J & K. Nowhere else in the country is any minority leaving outside their state as refugees. Only so called secular parties and intelectuals raise only Godhra issue all other killings of innocent Hindus & Sikhs is 'rubbish' for them. Terrorists have also killed some innocent Muslims. You will call me also a RSS agent, though I do not have any connection with any political party. But I am not afraid of telling the truth.
It's said that infiltration from Pakistan to Kashmir has come down. This is only for the short period as the higher ranges used by infiltrans are heavily snow clad. Once the snow starts melting and they are up again. We don't want any Kargil situation again. Our Army should stay there at ALL COST.
