N ORMALISATION IN J & K,
by Satyanarayan Thakur on Apr 09, 2007 08:49 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Mr. Mufti Mohammad Sayeed, is professing that peace has returned to the valley, crime rate and terrorism is much reduced, so the Govt. of India must commence the act of withdrawel of army with immediate effect.But at no time and nowhere he or his party P.D.P., HAS EVEN MENTIONED ABOUT THE RETURN AND REESTABLISHMENT OF THE DISPLACED KASHMIRI HINDI PANDITS AND SIKH BROTHERS TO THEIR HOME LAND, when they have been living like nomads outside. The issue of normalcy can be achieved only when all the displaced Kashmiri pandits AND sikh families are safe back in their homes and their security is ensured. It is only then one should talk of the army's reduction and final withdrawel. TILL THEN THE STATUS QUO ANTE MUST BE MAINTAINED. even though at present the Congress party for its narrow interest of REMAINing in power with the help of PDP is in a reconciliatory mood.

prof. S.S.Thakur.

Yes, there cannot be satsfactory solution to so called Kashmir problem; unless all Pundits and sikh brethern are returned to Kashmir and get back their properties. In fact leaders like Mufty shd demand abolition of clause 370; so that Kashmiries will also realise that they are p part of India. It is to their benefit only.

Army = No Solution
by Amit Sharma on Apr 09, 2007 07:27 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

And I will be very happy to see your faces(supporting Army retention) when Indian Army will go Pakistani Army's way and topple the democracy, strip your fundmental rights, beat you in public with slightest provocation.......And than when they will fail to deliver against external aggression and surrender like PA.....Please try to understand that Army is not a solution and please let me know a single instance when army anywhere in world could solve any such kind problem.

People those who are giving examples of Israel must visit there once. They should see how Israelis are living in a environment which is hostile and tense around around the clock...........

brother, you presume too much. dont go to conclusions from one or two statements.

it is the same indian army that saved your ass humiliation, when pak is provoking wars.

there is absolutely nothing wrong in learning good things from other countries/states. you just have to take the good from anybody.

in israel, you wont notice hundreds of armed men in the streets, they will come out only when required. that is what i have suggested. dont read too much. i am not asking to follow the israel govt policies.
democracy is fine and great, but there are so many holes in the constitution, we just need to work on fixing those holes, by overstepping limits sometimes.
never blindly follow anything, aight

Look who is talking of peace--- a man for whose daughter's ransom, Indian Govt had to release militants. He is accusing Indian army of cold blooded murders but is there any example of any place in the whole world where terrorism did not involve loss of innocent lives???
He is tellng about the disruption of economic activities due to presence of army, but the ground reality is that by fulfillling the requirements of such a huge army the state is propering like anything....
Moreover can this man guarantee that the infiltration will keep on coming down??
In punjab there were our own misled people so healing touch really helped but in Kashmir a hostile neighbour is fighting an undeclared war;
how can one even think of troop reducton in such a scenario???or its just a chaep political gimmick????
I know serveral Kasmiri Pandits who have lost their homes to separatists ratgher than Army, what of those poor guys--one whole generation has been brought up in refugee camps and that too in their own country !!!! Never in the history of world such an incidence has happened!!! our pseudo-secularist leader never talk of Kashmiri pandits 4 obvious reasons....
Pathetic,............

@ jayakrishna
My dear friend. Looks like you have wrong information. i have been to israel twice and life there rocks. There is no tension as u said. They have their own security measures. Their citizens dont do bomb blasts like we do. They trust their citizens as all had undergone army training and they just love their country. So, its wrong what you said.
Coming back to main issue, before withdrawing army, all kashmiris should return to their houses. For that, proper env should be made and if its not their, than how can we recall army.
