India is NOT meritocracy.

Legislature represents democracy.
Judiciary represents meritocracy.

India would have never got independence from British if "Judiciary is far better than legislature".

I do not hate you.
Because,

Hinduism is the ROOT of all evil in India.

1. It explicitly creates irrational hierarchy among Indians which is AGAINST Article 14.
2. Parents covertly TRAIN their children to coerce other children as per the above hierarchies.

I deplore any other religion that does this.

Role of Judiciary Versus Executive and Legislature
by konanur s krishnamurthy on Apr 08, 2007 10:19 PM  Permalink

It is not easy to define in clear terms the roles of the 3 pillars of a cosntitutional democracy like ours. If we can trace the history of the country during the last 60 yera, clearly our judiciary gets the highest votes from the common people for its daring integrity and defence of the fundamental right enshrined in our constitution. At the other end thelegislators and politicians and their parties will get zero or negative votes because they have done very little to remove poverty, illiteracy, ill health and unemployemnt. True enough, India has made tremondous economic and social progress specially after 1991. Credit goes to very fewe politicians like P.V. Narasinha Rao and Dr. Mam Mohan Singh, and not to the Nehry-GANDHI FAMILY NEXUS as a new political and inexperienced kid shouted recently. Credit also goes to factory and farm labor for the hard word work they put in, out IT giants, siientists, and enterprising 8ndustrialists like Tatas, Birlas, TVS group, Mittals etc.Lots of young IITians, products of IIMs and many leading B-Schools and eceonomists also have contributed a lot. In such a scenario, the politicians come up immediatly to amend the acts or amend the constitution to serve their selfish interests whenever our judiciary comes out heavily on their misddeds and those of the corrupt bureaucracy. By and large, we as citizens are grateful to our judiciary and the Election Commission at Delhi and its branches at State capitals. Thri independence must be protected at all costs.
