Oh Yes - You are right. Mr. Singh is the Cleaner - of Sonia's ...., ....., ....., sandals, etc.
It is reprehensible that Dr. Manmohan Singh has advised the Judiciary to be restrained. Having completely let off the politicians of all limits, he is asking the judiciary which is the protector of the Constitution and to whom everybody looks to stop the Legislature from overstepping the constitution, is unabhashedly advising the Judiciary to be restrained!! The recent overstepping of the Legislature is in Tamilnadu where the Government has decided to make reservations to religious minorities eventhough the constitution does not allow this. The Courts have on earlier occasions stuck such legislations and still the Tamilnadu government is bringing the legislation. Another instance of overstepping by the Legislature is in the reservations. Though, the Supreme Court and even the Amba Shankaran Commission have clearly stated that reservations should not be more than 50 % totally, still Tamilnadu has legislated a reservation of 69 %. By doing this, the forward communities who are in real minority have been put to gross injustice by the majority so called backward communities' Legislatures. Where is the redressal for the forward communities but the Courts? What does Dr. Singh say about this?
I fully endorce the Chief Justice that conflict between the Judiciary and Legislature is a healthy sign of democracy.

Reading your message felt really good.........atleast people understand what democracy is. Dr.Singh on the other hand doesnt seem to understand the seperation of powers......but what more can one expect from the consigliori of Italy
Hats off to Mr. Chief Justice for taking a stand and telling politicians to hold back. Besides providing, judiciary is the only system in our setup that provides some checks and balances to politicians. If legislature is left alone, it might not be long that India would be known as the largest dictatorship in the world rather than larget democracy

I agree with you. Chief Justice needs to be commended. Past has shown that whenever Congress rule starts the clash between Govt & Judiciary starts scaling high. Congress takes it for granted that it can have its own standards - disregarding all norms, just b'cause India got freedom when there was only one Party. Over the years this mentality of Congress needs to change & it should also realise that it is also moulded within the insulation of Law of the Land applicable to one & all.
Long live Indian Judiciary & BRAVE Chief Justice MR. Balakrishnan.
judiciary is active because the government isnt working when it should be . if it panders to vote banks, and all it does is that. we might as well have only the judiciary as the main umpire rather than the third umpire as we have it now.
we need government actions that are based on the needs. 60 years after independence if they still cannot uplift the poor, when will they ? have they ever tried to do it in a structured manner in the first place ? are there any time limits for it ? are there any performance review to themselves ? do the political parties themselves give a report what they had promised to do and what thre results were ?

No minister or politician is thinking of upliftment of poor..can u give a valid reason to include creamy layer for 27% obc quota??? are ppl comming under creamy layer poor??? why dont the government abolish the whole cast based reservation system and provide reservation only for economically backward from all castes and creed??? can u give an answer?? i can..if the government abolish caste based reservation then they will loose their vote banks..thers no other reason...all other reasons like upliftment of poor etc is beyond crap and only good to read on paper... Chief justice and supreme court has taken a correct descision to preserve the integrity of india and fate of youth... tc

I totally agree with you Arvind, This caste politics is doing nothing else other than dividing the country on the basis of caste. SC is doing right on questioning the Government and demanding the transparency to the public. These so called politicians are just goons and dacoits who are looting their own country. Shame on the stupid politicians. Take lessons from Powerful countries like USA who help the poor and tax the riches.

Dear Mr Arnind, The fact is that QUOTA, RESERVATION, PERMT & ALLOTMENT are benefitting no other than Nets & their dear ones. Not a single common person is benefitted with such things except being fooled at the time of election. Non of the party, Minister is interested to remove corruption or tainted people from contesting. In course of time we will have chairs for EX-DACOITS, EX-BHAI, EX-GGONs & little place for people with commom mans interest in the Parliament. All above words should be removed from Developing India & treat every one same. No such powers to Netas for their benefit H.S.Marwah
