My heartfelt condolences to the dead & their families. The accident has just taken place & some comments in bad taste have come & published.I think we should wait for the preliminary enquiry & on the basis of reliable outcome of the official investigation one should express their opinion, in a dignified manner, with a view to improve the transport of arms, explosives, drugs, inflammable stuff etc..The police should permit transport of such dangerous goods after collecting all relevant facts of the case. If this is done there will be no need to venture any guesswork for the accident.Prevention is always better than cure. All due precautions are to be taken before the accident & NOT after the accident. In our country because of over population, increase in industrial activities, bad & narrow roads, age-old vehicles with NO-ROAD-WORTHY certificates, inexperienced drivers etc. etc.,it is prudent to frame some rules & safeguards, before the vehicles carrying dangerous goods are allowed to ply on public roads as such accidents fatally affect other vehicles, people on the road & adjoining buildings etc.Government & authorities should seriously consider & take adequate steps urgently to avoid recurrence of such mishaps.Human values should be respected & protected.Everyone should be educated to follow the rules of the road not only for their own safety but also to the safety of the public.
We must pity the innocent lives lost and the loss of property suffered by many poor villagers. The authorities must tighten the control on the storage and transportation of explosives. People are ignorant and the poor villagers were trying to help to put out the smoke from the vehicle when the explosion took place. If they had known explosives were present (by clear identification of the transporting vehicle & police escort), they would have kept a safe distance and saved their lives. Please do not bring in political/ regional feelings here. We are all human beings first then only Indians and followed by your region. Please do not show animal feelings any more. Let the souls of the dead rest in peace and teh village comes back to normalcy soon. Jai Hind.
AGAIN AND AGAIN REIDFF ALLOWS COMMENTS LIKE THIS. REDIFF MUST CHECK ALL POST THEN ONLY IT SHOULD ALLOW TO POST IT.
I CAN SEE ALWAYS MANY PEOPLES ARE TALKING ABOUT TAMIL NADU BADLY ( ESPECIALLY FROM KARNATAKA FREINDS), BUT PEOPLE LIKE ME ( TAMIL SPEAKING INDIANS, NOT TAMILANS ) NOT EVEN POST ANY BAD MESSAGES AGAINST ANYBODY.
IF EDUCATED PEOPLES ARE SO WORST LIKE THIS THEN INDIA'S FUTURE IS IN DANGER !
PLEASE STOP POST COMMENTS AGAINST OUR OWN INDIANS.
I am amazed and saddened at the messages posted that betray hate, envy and ignorance. Every article sparks off hateful comments with people who seek to divide India. When are we ever going to give human life the dignity and value it deserves? Or should I say when are we ever going to give INDIAN life the value and dignity it deserves? I see no blame given to the owners who took no care in transporting such material without having extinguishers or other fire retarding/fighting equipment on board. I see no blame given to the idiots who were transporting explosives on a highway!
What we have is a pack of squabbling and frustrated fools who are probably mediocre in their daily lives so spewing insults is a way of blowing off steam. Go ahead and do so elsewhere, on a private blog, but not here when you are shamefully belittling the memory of so many poor victims who happened to lose their lives just because they happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time.
