There is absolutely no need of reservations to Christians. They are very well educated, well placed, progressive and well to do. Nowhere they are behind in any of the fields. This act of Karunanidhi is nonsense.
I agree that muslims and backward classes need to be uplifted. Because, they are really behind socially. But not christians.

Well said manuel, Christians are well educated, but most of the Christians are converted people who are very poor. They belong to SC and Backward castes. These people should also be given higher education either through Reservation or by financial support from govt. The end objective is the upliftment of them. Everyone should reap the fruits of Indias Growth.
karunanithi knows it wud be stayed by court but still he can get political mileage saying i went for it. He is thirsty of muslim and christian votes, hence doing this.
First of all, Mr.Finance Minister has to take responsbility for all these bullshits. Country is in important time. It needs more intellectual people rather than quotas. Mr.CM as everyone knows is sick of vote bank politics than reforms. All these political guys are going to make TN and India to file Chapter 11( Read Bankruptcy). who is going to save India?
Out of the pressure and backlash the govt of TN has decided to give a seprate reservation.This is indeed a great news that there is special quota for muslims. Now it seems that the Sangh Parivar the terrorist orgainizations like the RSS, Bajrang Dal, VHP must be ready planning verbal abuses and stupid justifications giving resevations especially to muslims.It is high time that all the state govts in this country implement the recomendations of the sachaar committe report. Every muslim and also the oppressed class or OBCs or Daliths have the complete right to have a better life and hence participate in the devlopment of the economy. It is the duty of every govt to take special care for those people who where denied these rights previously.Unfortunatley the Terrorist organizations like the RSS, Bajrang Dal, VHP want to protect their upper caste vote bank and playing dirty politics by spreading lies and propogating anti-muslim agenda. I would also request the T.N govt to ban these Brahmin Terrorist organizations (RSS, Bajrang Dal, VHP ) so that any polciy or agenda which is for betterment of the oppressed class gets implemented.

Before blaming RSS, Bajrang Dal and VHP as Brahmin Teroorist Organisation you should understand that reservations in govt jobs or higher education has neither helped in development of poor people in last sixty years nor it will help now. This is simply vote bank politics. CM of Tamilnadu who promissed to provide colour TV to all poors should have promissed to educate each and every child of poor people to make them earntheir livelihood respectfully for .

No matter how many reservations and special incentives he is given he will remain backward bcos the real reason for his backwardness is not lack of opportunity but lack of planning in life. It does not need any VHP, Bajrang Dal to oppose this. Any common right thinking citizen would oppose "reservation by religion". It is the most dangerous form of communal divide.
Don't worry, the judiciary will squash this if they do legislate. Our minority pro centre won't allow this to happen bec of hindu votes getting polarized to BJP.

Hello Dear, first you should ask the government to education and other amenties what ever you want for your community like food, clothing, school/college fees etc etc. if you get these things your 100% problem will over. Unnecessary they are providing in the NAME of reservation and we among ourselves fighting each other. Try to understand 57 years we completing of our Independence but government [centrl/state] are able to provide the education to miniority as well as SC/ST/OBC. Please Please very clear understand that Upper cast never against you people these politicians have very easy tool you people want to be silent. If you get and your family members education I feel there is no need to beg government for job reservation as well as higher studies education reservation. Don't become happy for petty issue this will spoil our internation image. I am sure this reservation Revolution started and it will go like fire in all the community. Moreover we younger blood should understand we are 65% majority in India how above 75 age people can decide what is ideal for us. Please cooperate and accept the reality. Don't become rash. After all we all are brother and sisters in some way.
Okie dont provide reservation to Muslims, but stop the Discrimination against us. As a muslim i know how we are discriminated in each and every thing and selectively targeted. Stop this else it will be a bigger disaster which will burden the entire country at a later date. Politics is bad, but muslims dont have money to get in to training institutes to clear CAT exams, so its better to Provide reservation so that they can also get the higher education. Study hard to get into Premier institutes.Just not by Reservation.If you are poor ask for less fee for which we will also start asking them.If you are eligible to read in Premier institutes prove it in entrance exam.

Dear Sir, Please remember that TN is only state in India, which already has 69%(even more than Supreme court provisional allocation). Tell me who is feared of allowing to compete with other guys. No one is feared. If a people with intelligence and hardwork can't succeed who will. So try to work intelligently and work hard rather than making comment. This is clear cut religious observation rather than rational comment. We're not talking about sick RSS,Bajrang Dal guys. We're talking here only about common people who're suffering of these sick policies to grab nothing but votes. These politicians for years have not done anything for backward people, other than making them poor. If they're really interested for growth of poor people they should provide monetary benefits to make them to attend quality institutes or atleast start institutes for them to get success in IIT or IIM exams rather than giving quotes. You should think rationally than emotionally. If you're really smart, tell me who the hell could stop you to achieve your goals.

This is nonsense. Most of the muslims are well employed in Gulf. How can you say that they don't have money to pay for education? If the muslims are indeed backward it is because of their own style of living.. Most of the muslimes, instead of being progressive, devote more time towards religion and will not allow any liberal thinking which finally leads to good education. Thats why they became backward.
Discrimation do exist but is the reservation really the way to remove discrimination?
Better central/state Government should handover one portion of India to Minority people so that they will also live in happy mood and our kashmir problem will also solve witout involving arm forces. It is shame for our country since indedpendence from Late PM Pandit Nehru to till date all the PMs are addressing in the public forum like Independence day and other functions "Brothers & Sister" only. When we are calling brothers and sister then why we want to divide the sections among ourselves. We all are belongs to one India not seprate. Moreover in school age we also read that we all are clled as brothers and sister onlu then why governmwent want to give "Reservation". It is purely VOTE BANK. 'NO DOUBT ABOUT IT.'why not Central/state government should decide 6 to 10%of annual budget amount should be focus on education for especially SC/ST/OBC candidates so that there is no need for reservatrion any community. More over why government is not providing more colleges to these sections of people instead of providing free of cost TV sets which is not much useful for them. Once they educated every thing they can earn at their own resources. 'God sake Politicians should change there attitude' without any ego problems.
Another move for political mileage . Well, these guys know that the judiciary will stay this bill. And they will use this for their vote banks.
Having said that, i personally support the reservation of Dalits. They suffered a lot and reservation based on caste only is the solution however flawed it is.
TN govt is facing tough times over cauveri issue, LTTE and conflict within alliance... this is one disgusting stunt by karunanidhi to divert the people from real issues... Minority people should understand who are the real enemies for them...
