Why Leave them scot free
by G K Venkkautaesh on Sep 25, 2006 08:35 PM  Permalink

Why now pleading in front of a Judge. When people died in bomb blast, both 1993 & the recent one, only poor innocent officer goers, who earn hand to mouth. Their families are shattered by lose of a bread winner. These accused had done this to shater the whole country. they should not be let free even if they are old or women, or even feeling for the wrong thing they did. They should be punished as they are the antisocial elements in the country.
Thanking you and best regards,
G K Venkat

2 elderly convicts ask for mercy
by labrea on Sep 25, 2006 08:17 PM  Permalink

What mercy was shown to the countless hundreds murdered by these terrorists? Yet, Dawood et al aren't the only criminals here - the real culpable criminals are the corrupt Customs, Police and Border security officials, without whose "indulgence" the terrorists would not have been able to carry out their distardly acts of terror. Bribery of public officials should carry maximum punishment - both for the briber and bribee, especially the bribee - the corrupt public officials tasked with protecting the state.

convicts of Mumbai blasts
by William Lobo on Sep 25, 2006 08:14 PM  Permalink

As a true Mumbaikar since I am associated with Mumbai from the year 1973 and all my friends and assosicates are mostly from this city.

I feel that any person even remotely connected with the blasts should be given severe punishment.

Even the Family members of such Desh Drohis should be taken to task and asked for explanation as to being citizens of India and having Mother India as their mother country why they have not immediately given information about the activities of the persons.

Compassion only for the people who KILL
by saryu on Sep 25, 2006 07:59 PM  Permalink

God save this nation! Our media is ever so helpful in pouring compassion on TERRORISTS. Please remember for example this same "old man" 13 years ago was still an old man of 70 years age. If he thought it is his duty to kill people then how can society now be compassionate to him and send him home.Don't you think he still is capable of killing people for the same reasons he killed before. Not just one reason, there tons of similar reasons now for which he earlier bombed people to their death.
Why not media interview the surviving relatives of the victims of terrorism? Why not write heart rending stories of familes destroyed by this very "poor-sick-old-man"? Why not pour some compassion on those shattered lives of families whose bread-winners are killed by this "poor-sick-old-man"? WHY NOT?

now they repent?
by onx on Sep 25, 2006 07:40 PM  Permalink

After all these years! Where was all this feeling when they conspired without conscience, killing hundreds of innocent citizens? Did they not have families? Did they not have ageing parents? Did they not have children who were closest to their heart?

With what conscience do these people ask for mercy now?!

Old age and ailment does have a point when discussing their cause, but the crimes they have helped commit speak a million volumes more against it.

93 blast
by SV on Sep 25, 2006 07:31 PM  Permalink

If the old man is seeking mercy then the court should not allow this.
The old man is feeling sorry for his mistake but can he return back the people who died.
SHOW NO MERCY ON THEM.
