In my Opinion, We are FREE and we should respect this independence which came are centuries of sacrifices by uncountable martyrs!
It is very easy to ask questions and point fingers at other. Every country including England and America faces one issue or other. You can raise issues like Reservation, Terrorism, pollution, Corruption, and Inflation …. so on and so forth. But the real question is what have you done about it? What so you plan to correct it?
Call me what you may… but I think we all are part of this system… one has to acknowledge it, stop passing the blame and start doing something about it.
Shri Arvind Lavakare must have really worked hard at writing this article. Kudos to him.
But my question to this writer is, what has he done to change the face of changing India. Forget the country, has Shri Arvind looked around his own locality and pursued to make some changes. I am sure he has not.
And, my verdict is, he cannot be the sole judge to influence people by his writings, though I respect his freedom of expression.
Shri Arvindji, first change the face of your locality and think of chaning India.
You have forgotten to write one most important damage that Nehru did to India that he left his progeny of snakes( indira, Rajiv and so on) and made sure that destruction of India should continue with the help from stupid voters.
songs, castes and politics doesnt matter anymore. economics does. money does. purchasing power gets respected, not nuclear arms and not national songs - work hard, innovate, and make money. and dont take all these controversies to heart - theres no time to think and brood over what we have/havent done - get back to work !
Not a single country in the world has ever performed so well at her very young age. If talking of US, do not forget that it took them more than 300 years from Independence to even get where they are now. Negros hated thier lives until 1960's, an sc/st in India takes pride in his privileges as an Indian. An Indian can do business as he wishes, ask a Chinese about it? A few no. of immigrants, jews-one of them, discomforts entire Russia. What insecurity have you felt of a Parsi-bava since the day they entered from the coast of Gujarat centuries ago? US can't pay social security to their own veterans. It has enemies everywhere. Believe me there are more problems in other countries than what you think India is facing. So, do rest if u can't do anything for India. And r u a 75-year old man from vruddhashram, who unfortunately got access to one of the 100's of 1000's of internet-ready pcs available at various public places? You must have thought this to be the best way to kill the last few days of your life. May you rest in peace, somewhere, if not in INDIA. -May I be blessed by the founding fathers of my nation.
My heart cries looking at this situation, specially when I know that certain pockets in the socy are growing at an alarming rate in terms of their socio economic status where as in the same City, majority of junta still gets avg salary...Think for a while, where would this take us..'A' person get a sal of 100 K a month where as 'B' gets only 7 K a month. And then in any towns or villages this can be as low as 4 K or even less....What would be tomorrow's India with such desparity?
