Peace (or Piece) talks
by RK on Sep 22, 2006 06:47 AM  Permalink

It is a waste to talk to any Islamic nation. On the front they say peace but they use al-taqiyya (deceive infidels) and backstab. Dear Indians please read Quran and hadiths (just like a novel) to understand the diabolic nature of Islam....Only then will Shanti prevail....

good one
by Vinit on Sep 22, 2006 03:57 AM  Permalink

Musharraf has been telling the americans how indispensable he is, how he's the good cop and how without him there would be just chaos and extremists will take over.
As the saying goes : You fool me once, shame on you. You fool me twice, shame on me.
Hopefully we're able to see through the facade.

Musharaff is a pure hawk
by Jatin Patel on Sep 22, 2006 02:05 AM  Permalink

First off, he is a US favored dictator. Second he knows what to talk where and how and how much et al. His own kargil initiative puts him in the bad taste of my indian mouth, which caused loss of lives, property and he promoted religious intolerance on name of Kashmir, jehad, support to freedom struggle and what not creative nonsense.

If he desired long lasting peace and want to behave as a good neighbour, he needs to evacuate the kashmir occupation, stop supporting bomb blasts and ethnic cleansing in Kashmir. We the indian hindus have nothing against pakistan of 1947 geographical borders and wish them Sallam walekum, Allah Hafiz and whatever good things exists in islamic culture. We also forgive you not placing trust in unity with indian hindus. Just back off your kashmir occupation and ask China to restore entire J&K with India.
IF you the dictator general can do this much, it can be expected our of delhi parliamentary mafias to take care of other issues at thier rat pace, screw-up diplomacy.

Musharraf's confession
by Susenjit Guha on Sep 21, 2006 11:40 PM  Permalink

Candid as it may seem coming from a Pakistani head of state, India cannot take such honest confessions at face value.

We have heard this time and again that there are extremists on both sides including Pakistan, who given half a chance, would do anything to derail the peace process. On the wake of the Mumbai blasts, Pakistan's foreign minister did not make a responsible statement in tune with the ongoing peace initiatives.

Well, if Musharraf feels there are extremists who are against his peace initiative with India, he can track, if he wants to, and hand over or convict Dawood Ibrahim and arrest members of groups suspected of terror attacks in India. For that he can use the information available with Indian authorities, instead of creating unnecessary legal and diplomatic bottlenecks and finding loopholes in proofs among proofs.

Unless Musharraf literally goes on an overdrive as he usually does to safeguard his mentor Bush and Blair's nations from attacks conceived and planned in Pakistan by overseas and resident Pakistanis, he cannot be seen here as a Pakistani military ruler with honest intentions of peace with India.

why are we wasting time
by tc on Sep 21, 2006 03:11 PM  Permalink

I dont understand why the PM is even talking to Musharraf. Will india never learn? There can be either them or us. There is no other way to see this problem we have we know as our "neighbour". Softass approach NEVER works. If you are percieved as a weak nicey nicey nation what you get is terrorism. China isnt a islamic state does it have this problem? NO. Cause Pakis know if they take the islamic cause there their butt would be fried and handed back to them on a plate. With India they do the same shit and get the MFN trade status!!....Our PMs and all the lot- PATHETIc

Absolutely wrong. Like me many people in India want to see Pakistan wiped off from the surface of this planet. The very basis od its existence itself is wrong. As per information I have it was a vision of Shri Aurobindo Ghosh also.
