Heartly cong.to kiran, You put India on the pride. Wish you all the best for your futute writing and we hope that soon you wuold get the highest NOBEL.
LOads of wishes for this achievement . After a long long time i am this satisfied with an interview by an English writer from India. I am big fan of Anita Desai .. fell in love with her book "Village by the sea" ... and have been reading her since then .. I am looking forward to "Inheritance of loss" ... Someday i would send Anita the transcripts of my own writing .... :-) ---------------------------------------- I dare myself close my eyes, In the deep mirth of my own world, Then air swishes past the lids, Making melancholic sound from far, The moment I breath in void, The moment I feel nothing , So I walk ahead in the time, As a lone traveler along the road, For I cannot stop to walk , The steps I lay on earth , Have in them no world that is mine , Am I trapped or am I so free , Am I lost in dry desert or do I have the whole sea, I will never know in the life I have , I would not have the life if I know.
Congratulations for the nomination! We are eagerly waiting for the announcement of the prize. We wish (and pray, too) that you win it. It is a great observation that you feel empty when you are not writing. Creativity feels your life. However, I differ on your views on religion and secularism. We were told at school that secularism is to respect other's religion. And religion is to be good and to do good to others. Your interviewer and for that matter most of the people are confused with rituals and religion. That is a pity. Once again, we wish you best of luck. Dr. K. Mallick, Houston
