Its FUNNY BJP will complain about the meeting. They met the GEN after Kargil and did not have any problems with it.
They failed to protect the nation by not going after Pakistan during Kargil and when the Indian parliment was attacked. BJP just likes to make loud noise when push come to shove they are "CHICKENS" ! Most Indians have realized this by now and dont buy into it any more.
The stand taken by Indian government is reasonable. Till Pakistan takes steps to remove terrorist camps in its territory, including the ones operating in Azad kashmir, Manmohan Singh should not talk to Musharraf on peace process. If he does, then that means Indian government is not serious in its efforts to curb terrorism in India. Besides, there is also a need to send a strong signal to Musharraf about the way he has eliminated Nawab Bugti. And the way he has made a deal with taliban in wazirastan. So. till Musharraf shows progress on all these aspects, Indian government should not talk about the peace process. C V R Bharati
Sir, it is high time we should not entertain any talks with pak, for that matter with any country that does not reciprocate.we are bleeding due to terrorism for more 2 decades. after independence we have had talks a few hundred times at different levels. never did pak understand the spirit of friendship and on the contrary we had 3 full scale wars. after UPA came into power pak has intnsified its terror tactics.unless it totally root out terror camps and prove itself absolutely friendly it would be futile exrcise. if PM takes the Leftist advise then the country has no future as they give only destructive advise to only appease theirvote bank and get votes. there is enough proof in case of bangla infiltrators. it not whether BJP said or not the country shouldadopt tough stance in this regard. mohanln
