It was too naive on the part of Bush and company to have agreed to let Musharraf bluff and get away so easily. They had many opportunities to tie down Musharraf to deliver Khan and his Nuclear Bazar linkages to Americans. But they didnt not use it well.Everytime Bush and company utter niceties like Musharraf is doing a good job, that they are our allies on terror etc., Musharraf extracts concessions from American administration in the form of arms supply restoration, or in the form of debt waiver or in the form of fresh assistance either overt or covert. So, in all these dealings, the Pakistanis have comeout smarter compared to Americans. They have talked the Americans out of the issues while retaining their infrastructures.
It so sad that this man continues to sell his recipe for death and destruction.
How long before it ends up in the hands of terrorist, if not already there?

True to form, their only export continues to death and destruction, either through this or terrorism.
They fool the people by pretending to cooperate with anti-terror measures while fueling and funding it.
