I agree with this article on vande matharam issue. As far as i could see the word vande in samskrit , it means only PRANAM in hindi . It only means arespectful homage to the mother india and no muslim can have any objection in paying respect to the motherland. Our ministers atleast some of them have got their foot in the mouth- viz obc reservation in institutions higher learning- I.I. Ts and I.I.Ms where only merit should be the criterion. and such ministers should be cut to size- and it is high time we denounce such over bearing attitude from these ministers - they owe their positions to the people - they very often forget this basic thing- they are not fit to be ministers. it was humourous to read the news abt some mufi urging muslims to quit insurance and banks coz of some interest clause in quran.let these mullahs issue fatwah to people like dawood,aneez who are anti-islam for their activities.May be,mufti would say that they are doing right thing coz they are bombing the infidels which is correct according to quran.its time crazy mullahs are eliminated with all this deobandis.you will not sing national song, u will not agree for UCC, u will not respect women,you will remarry n-times and will divorce over phone,you will legalise a rape with marrying father-in-law to a daughter-in-law,you will not allow hindus to build temples in their place, you will always end up constructing the mosques at middle of a road causing traffic congestion, you will use loud speakers at a high decibel and irritate school children during their exams.( man, i want a ban on this now coz why should we hindus hear that sound coming from mosques).stop everything before it becomes too late and you will leave a terrible place for your future generations to live in indian soil.whatever meaning you interpret for "vande" you have to either sing or stand and participate.
I dont think the issue here is of patriotism. Its about forcing ones will on the other. Being Muslim I dont have problem in reciting coz I know that I am not offending my religion. Muslim cannot be called traitors just cos some of them dont want to recite it. In south most of ppl cannot speak or read Hindi. Y arent they called traitors & asked them to prove their patriotism. Patriostism is not proved by reciting a song but by deeds to make your country a better to live in. The politicians have done nothing to help the common ppl but yes they are more patriotic than a Muslim that does not recite Vande matram. The whole issue is c**p, raked up to get freely publicity. Deep in my heart I know that I love my country's every inch of land, mountains, air, rain, its past & present. Yes my country is not as pos has USA or as beautiful as Switzerland, as futuristic as Singapore but yes it is my country. And I am proud of it. I always pray for prosterity of my family & my country as well.
I dont have to prove anyone anything. And no one can demand anything from me.
I simply fail to understand why the muslims need to refer to quran for every thing?

I dont think that,more than 95% of the muslims in India have problem to sing Vande matram.I want to ask few of them who are opposing this. Islam teaches "Total submission to the will of Almighty God "(Allah,the arabic name).It is a great sin in islam to worship anybody other than the one and only God(Allah)who is a creator of whole universe.In Quran Allah says,I can forgive any sin committed by a human but not shirk(worshiping other than Him ,one God).The holy books of islam (Quran & Hadith)also teaches to every muslim to be faithful to his/her own motherland. If he/she is not doing so,then it is like having intercourse with his own mother,it is a big sin. I honestly ask my fellow muslim brothers and sisters on "vande matram" issue 1)There are many meanings of the word "Vande",one meaning of them may be amounting to worship.Among many meanings take one meaning suitable for you and recite this wonderful national song. 2)Before opposing trivial matters like "vande mataram I ask my fellow muslims, Are we really succeeding to please Almighty God in our day to day life. Do we really follow true religion and teachings of islam? If not, we have to ask our millions of fellow brothers who have embraced Islam world wide by choice, in past few decades. We have to ask them, what they find in islam to accept this faith by converting from other religion. We have to do this ,because we dont have time to study our religion, because we got it by chance. We are wasting our whole valuable life by involving ourselves more in materialistic world than the spiritual one.

It is hartening to see a Muslim saying this is a good song.Hindus have India only and Indian value and songs must be kept high.Do not blame the MUslims because with Sonia Ghandi a christian,and Dr.Manmohon Singh a sikh,they do not have the same love for Vande Mataram as a Hindu will have>finally if you look at it it is the hindus who have to be blamed for this debacale.Net time elect a Hindu prime minester you wont have this problem.Those who still object to singinging this beautiful song,tell them to to go to Pakistan and live there we will see what happens!!!!
My openion is Vande Matharam to be revised to Vande God the Almighty. Then it should be ok. B'cause The God, He who is giving us food, oxygen etc,,,,reserve that praise. We had to salute God, thankful to God always. In my view, a national song should not hurt people who holds different beliefs. Patriotism is not laying in a simple song or piece of cloth.
