its a ridiculous statement by mr anup chetia, i dare ulfa to seek a refrendum on the issue of a sovereign assam via the internet lets see how many comes up with a positive YES, if ULFA wins they can be sure of getting a mass support in their favour or else they shud shed and come overground in serving the people of assam in a more positive manner rather than hiding in bangladesh for which assam had shed blood for the ouster of the same bangladeshis in assam.
If the ULFA leader does not want to stay in India let him migrate to another state. Snakes like him can raise hood only in a democratic country like India. Only violence can end violence. He & his party men & sympathisers should be tayught a lesson inlcudig liquidating key leaders so as to instil fear in the mind of separatists.
Though I misht sound emotional, but any person who belongs to any Indian state or teritory and who claims that He is from that state and NOT and indian.
I am an ardent Assamaes and proud to be one!! i would as an assamese wouldn't consider Anup Chetia as true assamese - every assamese is an indian and those who considers otherwise are alien to our motherland. bangladeshis in assam have become the literal parasites - eating away our land, economy and our culture. and ironically ulfa leaders have chosen this country as their safe abode!! let's face it - let seal off the main highway and let see what happens to the states in the north eastern part of India - even for one day. immediate reaction would be sky reaching prices of all essential commodities. another fact point - we are not self sufficeint. third fact point - we are not stable economically, which answers for all the merituous students leaving assam every year. have the problems solved and then we may consider the ""the so called assamese to be the true sons of the soil"".

n who r bringing the bangladeshis to Assam....it is non other than the Indians
People like Chetia should be tried for treason and for separatist movement. That is the only thing that needs to be done. He should, if he persists in such writings, be sent to solitary confinement.
mr. anup chetias comment on not being an indian.. shows what the ULFA wants.. they just want assam to be an independent country.. wil assam be able to sustain itself alone? NO is the answer. when states like maharasthra, tamil nadu are developing exponentiall in all the sectors, assam is yet to join the race.. wel according to me we the people of assam should stop the era of terrorism and give peace a chance...
