Death by torture. For people like Santosh and others like him who think a woman is their toy.

May his and other rapists souls rot in hell.

Why it takes 11 years to get justice?
by Seema on Oct 30, 2006 11:54 PM  Permalink

Justice is finally done... But the question remains is the long 11 years wait to get it done!!!!

Why our justice system takes so many years to make a verdict... The family of the victim suffered for 11 years. Hope there is some thing that we can do to make our judicial system more effective.

I'm a Born-again Christian. I believe in the Bible 100% and I don't let human emotiions take over me, instead I belief in Lord Jesus Christ's words. I belief criminals should be forgiven, because Christ have taught us to forgive people. I have sincerely forgiven Mr. Santosh Kumar Singh in my heartt. In Lord Jesus Christ's name I pray, AMEN !!

The judgement has reinstated the lost confidence in the people. Judicial activism is appreciated otherwise there is no hope for the common man.

Santosh Singh gets death
by Alexander Thomas on Oct 30, 2006 11:46 PM  Permalink

We hope that Jessica Lal too gets justice. Today with people having tonnes of money show that they can buy anyone and everyone and show a middle finger to the society by going scot free after commiting horrendous crimes such verdits will hopefully act as a deterrant.

Justice is best served hot !!!!
by Rajorshi Basu on Oct 30, 2006 11:46 PM  Permalink

Dear Readers,

I am a student living abroad for the past 3 years. In my limited capacity, me and my friends have organized a petion forum forwarded to us by Aditya Raj Kaul to see to it that Miss Priyadarshini Mattoo gets justice, and had it delivered to President A.P.J Abdul Kalam.

Its nice to read that finally after 11 long years justice is being done. I am not a firm believer in the adage " An Eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth ", but this time i really felt that Santosh Kumar Singh should be given the death penalty for 2 reasons.
1. He commited the crime in a pre-meditated way and grotesque manner.
2. Being the son of a Police Inspector-General and a law student himself he should have set a better example. Its strange how he was allowed to pass the law exams and be a lawyer and practise law, can happen only in India.

One thing i also would like to remind readers that sons, nephews and relatives of high ranking public figures have so little respect for our judicial system that they feel that laws are not for them, they are above the law, which reminds me of the Jessica Lal murdered by Manu Sharma son of Venod Sharma,a powerful Congress politician in Haryana.

Priyadarshini Mattoo
by Subir on Oct 30, 2006 11:33 PM  Permalink

Justice at long last.

Being rich and powerful Santosh possibly took things for granted,
that nothing can happen to him. It is his bad luck that one of the very
strong pillars of our democracy started flexing its muscles, whatever
we see today, the very credit goes to Indian press.
Also, those who were instrumental in blocking the justice must be
brought to books, just to set an example that flashing uniform
may not be very gainful all the time.
Those who are advocating mercy for Santosh, must meet
Mr. Chamanlal Mattoo, to find out how he must have spent the last
10 years.
