Good to know that Indian law is getting strict. I appreciate the judgement given by the Judges. Hope Priyadarshini Mattoo's soul will rest in peace now. If this case goes to Supreme Court I wish that he gets atleast 30 years of rigorous imprisonment if not the death penalty which'll help the other victims to come forward and get justice. And this should be a lesson to other rapists who commit crime without thinking of others and their own family. Don't show MERCY saying that he has child and wife dependent on him. Infact his wife should herself welcome this judgement and thank God for saving her child and herself from staying with such a disgusting person.
It's always more human to pardon and less so to punish regardless of the crime. I have my doubt if any soul will rest in peace after hearing that it has achieved tit-for-tat. But I dont know how I would react if I were in a similar situation, because I myself can succumb to my anger, instincts and impulse. I respect the court judgement though.
Finally, justice is done. It took so long, but the crime deserves the harshest punshment available....sometimes death is an easy option for a crime like this, or Dhananjay's crime.Maybe castration would be a better option.
Only & only due to wide coverage given by media .... this shameless son of IPS officer will be hanged . This will be first time in Free India History , person with money & power get punished .
Same should happen to all politicians , officers & their relatives who thing law is in their pocket . Let us see when criminal like Shahabudeen , Raja Bhaiya , Sadhu Yadav , Manu Sharma , DP Yadav , Abu Salem , Dawood Ibrahim will be hanged .
Judge has given right decision. Santosh singh has no right to live in civilised society. He should hang earliest so message go to bad boys of wealthy, powerful person that there is no space for them in society.
Another thing, our judicial sytem should also deliver justice fast, this kind delay give pain harassment to vitim & his family. Ten years span is too much..in this period most of people became fad up.
But atlast, this is win of civilization on jungleraj. it will restore the value of being human.
